TLDR
The security, agility, and robustness/survivability of a large-scale power delivery infrastructure that faces new threats and unanticipated conditions is presented.Abstract:
In this article, we present the security, agility, and robustness/survivability of a large-scale power delivery infrastructure that faces new threats and unanticipated conditions. By way of background, we present a brief overview of the past work on the challenges faced in online parameter estimation and real-time adaptive control of a damaged F-15 aircraft. This work, in part, provided the inspiration and laid the foundation in the 1990s for the flight testing of a fast parameter estimation/modeling and reconfigurable aircraft control system that allowed the F-15 to become self-healing in the face of damaged equipment.read more

Towards a semantic web of things for smart cities
TL;DR: The work demonstrates that a Semantic Web of Things approach does improve applicationlayer interoperability, and shows that integrating this with rich domain context is beneficial in promoting interoperability and discoverability.

Towards a net-zero data center
TL;DR: This tutorial article presents a blueprint for a “net-zero data center”: one that offsets any electricity used from the grid via adequate on-site power generation that gets fed back to the grid at a later time.
Viability of Self-Governance in Community Energy Systems: Structuring an Approach for Assessment

Novel Energy Saving Opportunities in Smart Grids Using a Secure Social Networking Layer
Florian Skopik,Christian Wagner +1 more
TL;DR: It is argued that when coupling smart grid stakeholders with a social network, even more advanced use cases provide unmatched energy saving opportunities, and it is necessary to introduce a social overlay model for smart grids.

Plug in to grid computing
TL;DR: The ability of grid-enabled systems to interact autonomously is vital for small generators where manned operation is likely to be viable and the ability to monitor the output of embedded generators to be monitored and controlled is vital.
