TLDR
The security, agility, and robustness/survivability of a large-scale power delivery infrastructure that faces new threats and unanticipated conditions is presented.
Abstract
In this article, we present the security, agility, and robustness/survivability of a large-scale power delivery infrastructure that faces new threats and unanticipated conditions. By way of background, we present a brief overview of the past work on the challenges faced in online parameter estimation and real-time adaptive control of a damaged F-15 aircraft. This work, in part, provided the inspiration and laid the foundation in the 1990s for the flight testing of a fast parameter estimation/modeling and reconfigurable aircraft control system that allowed the F-15 to become self-healing in the face of damaged equipment.

Transformers with Multi-Turn Primary Windings for Dynamic Power Flow Control

TL;DR: In this article, an active impedance-injection module enabled for distributed power flow control of high-voltage (HV) transmission lines is disclosed. The module uses transformers with multi-turn primary windings to dynamically control power flow on those power lines.

Channel discovery algorithms for interference avoidance in smart grid communication networks: a survey

TL;DR: A channel discovery algorithm exploiting the inherent CSMA/CA mechanism in the protocols is proposed that can quickly find an available channel for transmission when interferences occur.

Analysis of distribution network by reliability indices

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented the comparison and performance of the reliability indices by increment of load in equal and unequal mode on every node for a 33-node distribution network and showed that a multiplying factor is suitable for the increment of loads at various nodes for a distribution system.

Research on efficiency evaluation model of integrated energy system based on hybrid multi-attribute decision-making

TL;DR: The risk preference of decision maker is considered when constructing the evaluation model, and a hybrid multi-attribute decision-making model is constructed that considers the decision maker’s risk preference.

Detection of False Data Injection Attacks in Smart Grid Cyber-Physical Systems

Beibei Li
TL;DR: In this article, a stochastic Petri net based analytical model is developed to evaluate and analyze the system reliability of smart grid CPSs, specifically against topology attacks with system countermeasures (i.e., intrusion detection systems and malfunction recovery techniques).

The future's smart delivery system [electric power supply]

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a location-dependent approach based on the characteristics of the existing power system and nature of the load at each specific site to determine optimal solutions to digital end users' security, quality, reliability, and availability (SQRA) requirements.

Plug in to grid computing

TL;DR: The ability of grid-enabled systems to interact autonomously is vital for small generators where manned operation is likely to be viable and the ability to monitor the output of embedded generators to be monitored and controlled is vital.
