TLDR
In this article, the limit of resolution for two antiphase coherent point objects with reference to one-dimensional diffraction limited optical systems (slit apertures) was studied.
Abstract
The limit of resolution for two antiphase coherent point objects is studied with reference to one-dimensional diffraction limited optical systems (slit apertures). The ratios of measurable to real point separation and of measurable to real peak intensity are also investigated.

Quantum Fisher information with coherence

TL;DR: It is found that claims about a strong enhancement of the resolution resulting from coherence effects are questionable because they refer to very small subsets of the data without proper normalization.

Exploring the ultimate limits: super-resolution enhanced by partial coherence.

TL;DR: The resolution of separation of two elementary signals forming a partially coherent superposition, defined by quantum Fisher information and normalized with respect to detection probabilities, is always limited by the resolution of incoherent mixtures but when these superpositions are prepared in a controlled way, the precision can be enhanced by up to several orders of magnitude above this limit.

Apodization for improving the two-point resolution of coherent optical systems with defect of focus

TL;DR: In this paper, an amplitude apodization influenced defocused optical system used to form a coherent light illuminated two-point sources with an improved resolution was analyzed and the composite coherent image intensity distributions in the defocused and the Gaussian (Yd = 0) planes have been calculated and compared.

Dark-field imaging as a non-invasive method for characterization of whispering gallery modes in microdisk cavities

TL;DR: The proposed technique is a simple noninvasive way to characterize the optical properties of microdisk cavities using dark-field imaging and spectroscopy in the visible spectral range.

Two-point resolution with partially coherent light.

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that in all but the incoherent limit, the ratio of real to measured separation is not equal to unity except for specific values of the real separation.

Two-point resolution with partially coherent light

TL;DR: The two-point resolution problem has been discussed previously using the Sparrow criterion but in all but the incoherent limit the ratio of the real to measured separation is not equal to unity except for specific values of thereal separation.

The Effect of Condenser Obstruction on the Two-point Resolution of a Microscope

TL;DR: In this article, the central part of the condenser of a microscope may be obstructed by obstructions, and it is shown that in certain circumstances there may be more than one separation at which two points are just resolved.

Resolution of two unequally bright points with partially coherent light

TL;DR: In this article, the resolution of two points having unequal intensity has been investigated under the partially coherent illumination by using the newly modified Sparrow criterion, and the resolution is discussed as functions of the degree of spatial coherence of the illumination and the intensity difference of two object points.
