Development of 2.5D Analytical Regularization Method for reflector antenna analysis
TL;DR: In this paper, a two-and-a-half dimensional analytical regularization method (2.5D ARM) was proposed to analyze reflector antennas for microwave, millimeter wave or ultra wide band applications.
Book ChapterDOI
Recent Advances in Diffraction Analysis of Reflector Antennas
TL;DR: In this article, a dual offet reflector antenna with the following characteristics is presented: (a) the main reflector is mesh deployable, (b) the subreflector is made of multi-layered frequency selective surfaces (FSS), (c) a deployable mast is shown to support the sub-reflector, (d) there are complex conformai array feeds operating at different frequency bands, and (e) adaptive beam forming networks (BFN) with reconfigurable functionality are used.
Journal ArticleDOI
Commission 6: Progress in Radio Waves and Transmission of Information: 1. Radio Waves
TL;DR: In this article, a geometrical description of phase array behavior based on the fundamental principle of planar apertures has been presented, which unifies much of the existing knowledge of infinite arrays.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comments on "New plane wave spectrum formulations for the near-fields of circular and strip apertures"
TL;DR: In this article, a geometrical theory of diffraction (GTD) solution for the diffracted field from a circular aperture is obtained, but the solution does not in general agree with the one given in this paper.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
A fast and low-cost validation technique for ILS and MLS
P.R. Mahapatra,M.M. Poulose +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a feasibility study of evaluating site effects on ILS (instrument landing system) and MLS (microwave landing system), using analytical and computational techniques is presented.

Uniform asymptotic theory of edge diffraction
Robert M. Lewis,J Joop Boersma +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a uniform asymptotic theory of diffraction was proposed, which is uniformly valid near edges and shadow boundaries, but not at any caustics other than the edge.
Journal ArticleDOI
Diffraction of a Scalar Wave by a Plane Screen
TL;DR: In this paper, a method for obtaining a uniform representation of the diffracted field produced when a scalar wave is incident upon a plane screen with a curved edge is presented, where the first term in this representation is continuous at the edge and on the shadow boundaries.
