Validity index for crisp and fuzzy clusters
TLDR
A cluster validity index and its fuzzification is described, which can provide a measure of goodness of clustering on different partitions of a data set, and results demonstrating the superiority of the PBM-index in appropriately determining the number of clusters are provided.About:

Clustering Validity Function Fusion Method of FCM Clustering Algorithm Based on Dempster–Shafer Evidence Theory
TL;DR: Zhang et al. as mentioned in this paper proposed a clustering validity function fusion model based on D-S evidence theory (DS-CVFFM), which adopts FCM clustering algorithm as the base algorithm, calculates the values of different clustering validations, and then uses the value of different validations as the evidence source to construct the basic probability assignment function (BPA).

Based on semi-fuzzy c-means clustering BIT fault diagnosis
TL;DR: A semi-fuzzy c-means algorithm based on revised Euclidean distance was proposed to improve the real-time capability and precision in fault pattern classified and can recognize fault pattern adaptively and precisely.

Unsupervised machine learning to classify crystal structures according to their structural distortion: A case study on Li-argyrodite solid-state electrolytes
TL;DR: In this paper , the Steinhardt order parameters are used as descriptors of cubic Li-argyrodites solid electrolytes to train a range of common unsupervised outlier detection models, which can be used to screen computed structures with respect to an user-defined error threshold and discard too distorted structures during geometrical optimization procedures.

An anomaly detection based on Local Wave decomposition and clustering
TL;DR: A detection method combining Local Wave decomposition method with clustering is proposed, which applies the Local Wave decompostion method to the traffic signals of multiple links on each key node, then estimates the instaneous frequency of each link, which can highlight the traffic anomalous characteristics and enhance the detection reliability.
