Validity index for crisp and fuzzy clusters

TLDR
A cluster validity index and its fuzzification is described, which can provide a measure of goodness of clustering on different partitions of a data set, and results demonstrating the superiority of the PBM-index in appropriately determining the number of clusters are provided.

A Multiobjective Simultaneous Learning Framework for Clustering and Classification

TL;DR: This paper presents a multiobjective simultaneous learning framework (MSCC), which utilizes multiple objective functions to formulate the clustering and classification problems, respectively, and employs the Bayesian theory to make these functions all only dependent on a set of the same parameters.
Journal ArticleDOI

A new validity index for crisp clusters

TL;DR: A new cluster validity index, called the STR index, is defined as the product of two components which determine changes of compactness and separability of clusters during a clustering process, and the maximum value identifies the best clustering scheme.

Extractive single document summarization using multi-objective optimization: Exploring self-organized differential evolution, grey wolf optimizer and water cycle algorithm

TL;DR: This paper attempts to build some extractive single document text summarization systems using multi-objective optimization (MOO) frameworks and is able to automatically detect the number of sentence clusters present in a document and then representative sentences are selected from different clusters using some sentence scoring features to generate the summary.

Evolutionary Multiobjective Clustering and Its Applications to Patient Stratification

TL;DR: A novel multiobjective framework called multiobjectives clustering algorithm by fast search and find of density peaks is proposed to address limitations altogether and can achieve better or competitive solutions than the others.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparison of clustering algorithms for analog modulation classification

TL;DR: A comparative study of implementation of clustering algorithms on classification of the analog modulated communication signals and the advantages and disadvantages of the methods are examined.
