Creating Lithium-Ion Electrolytes with Biomimetic Ionic Channels in Metal–Organic Frameworks

TL;DR: A novel class of pseudo solid-state electrolytes with biomimetic ionic channels is reported herein, achieved by complexing the anions of an electrolyte to the open metal sites of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), which transforms the MOF scaffolds into ionic-channel analogs with lithium-ion conduction and low activation energy.

Ionic conductivity enhancement of the plasticized PMMA/LiClO4 polymer nanocomposite electrolyte containing clay

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors demonstrated that the addition of an optimum content of dimethyldioctadecylammonium chloride (DDAC)-modified montmorillonite clay (Dclay) enhances the ionic conductivity of the plasticized poly(methyl methacrylate)-based electrolyte by nearly 40 times higher than the plain system.

Vibrational spectroscopy and dynamics of small anions in ionic liquid solutions.

TL;DR: Fourier-transform infrared and time-resolved IR spectroscopies have been used to study vibrational band positions, vibrational energy relaxation rates, and reorientation times of anions in several ionic liquid (IL) solutions, suggesting that substituting this hydrogen has, at most, a minor effect on the degree of hydrogen bonding in the anion-IL solvation interaction based on the infrared spectra and dynamics.

On the interaction of lithium salts with model amides

TL;DR: In this article, a study of the interaction of alkali metal salts on model aliphatic amides is reported, showing that Li+ ion binds to the amide group at the carbonyl oxygen, causing a change in the spectroscopic properties and the geometry of the amides.

Cation-polymer interaction and ionic association in diglyme-LiCF3SO3 and diglyme-propylene carbonate-LiCF3SO3 complexes

TL;DR: In this article, the ionic association in diglyme-propylene carbonate-LiCF 3 SO 3 complexes was studied using vibrational spectroscopy, and the results showed that the 1: 1 complex with lithium cations (diglyme·Li) and most of the triflate ions are associated with the lithium cation in the 2: 1 complexes at room temperature.
