Solid state kinetics of the oxidation of MoO2 investigated by time-resolved X-ray absorption spectroscopy

TL;DR: In this article, the isothermal oxidation of MoO2 in oxygen (100%) at temperatures between 623 K and 823 K was studied by time-resolved in situ X-ray absorption spectroscopy.

Structural origin of the intermediate phase in Ge–Se glasses

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors conducted x-ray absorption near-edge structure (XANES) experiments on germanium selenide glasses, in search of a structural signature of the intermediate phase (IP).

The Active Site Structure of Tetanus Neurotoxin Resolved by Multiple Scattering Analysis in X-Ray Absorption Spectroscopy

TL;DR: Comparing the absorption spectrum of tetanus neurotoxin to that of two other structurally similar zinc-endopeptidases, thermolysin and astacin, in which the zinc coordination mode is known from crystallographic data, it is concluded that in tetanus toxin, besides a water molecule, zinc is coordinated to two histidines and a tyrosine.

Extended study of DETA-functionalized PGMA adsorbent in the selective adsorption behaviors and mechanisms for heavy metal ions of Cu, Co, Ni, Zn, and Cd.

TL;DR: The coordination geometry played an important role in the determination of the adsorption selectivity for heavy metal ions by the polyamine-functionalized adsorbent of P-DETA.
