TL;DR: Pipe3D as discussed by the authors is an analysis pipeline based on the FIT3D fitting tool to explore the properties of the stellar populations and ionized gas of Integral Field Spectroscopy data.
Journal ArticleDOI

Meidt,Jennifer Donovan Meyer,Nurur Rahman,Helene Roussel,Marc Sauvage,Sundar Srinivasan,L. Vigroux,Fabian Walter,B. E. Warren +40 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a detailed study of the spatial variation of the far-infrared (FIR) [C II]158 μm and [O I]63 μm lines and midinfrared H2 emission lines as tracers of gas cooling, and of the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) bands as tracer of the photoelectric heating, using Herschel-PACS and Spitzer-IRS infrared spectral maps.
Journal ArticleDOI
Outer-disk reddening and gas-phase metallicities: The CALIFA connection
R. A. Marino,A. Gil de Paz,Sebastián F. Sánchez,Patricia Sanchez-Blazquez,Nicolás Cardiel,África Castillo-Morales,Sergio Pascual,J. Vílchez,C. Kehrig,M. Mollá,Jairo Méndez-Abreu,Cristina Catalán-Torrecilla,Estrella Florido,Isabel Pérez,T. Ruiz-Lara,Simon Ellis,Angel R. Lopez-Sanchez,R. M. Walcher,Joss Bland-Hawthorn,Califa Team +29 more
TL;DR: In this article, the relation between the outer-disk ionized-gas metallicity gradients and the presence of breaks in the surface brightness profiles of disk galaxies was studied. But the results were limited to the case of low-and high-mass galaxies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Extinction law variations and dust excitation in the spiral galaxy NGC 300
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigate the possible origin of the strong radial gradient in the ultraviolet-to-infrared ratio in the nearby late-type spiral galaxy NGC 300 and emphasize the importance of local variations in the geometry of the interstellar medium, concluding that they cannot be neglected with respect to metallicity effects.
Journal ArticleDOI
Integral field spectroscopy and multi-wavelength imaging of the nearby spiral galaxy ngc 5668*: an unusual flattening in metallicity gradient
R. A. Marino,R. A. Marino,A. Gil de Paz,África Castillo-Morales,Juan-Carlos Muñoz-Mateos,Sebastián F. Sánchez,Pablo G. Pérez-González,Pablo G. Pérez-González,Jesús Gallego,Jaime Zamorano,A. Alonso-Herrero,Samuel Boissier +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, an analysis of the full bidimensional optical spectral cube of the nearby spiral galaxy NGC 5668, observed with the Pmas fiber PAcK Integral Field Unit (IFU) at the Calar Alto observatory 3.5 m telescope, is presented.
