Journal ArticleDOI

Solar fusion cross sections II: the pp chain and CNO cycles

TL;DR: The available data on nuclear fusion cross sections important to energy generation in the Sun and other hydrogen-burning stars and to solar neutrino production are summarized and critically evaluated in this article.
Journal ArticleDOI

Asymptotic normalization coefficients for 10 B → 9 Be + p

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used elastic scattering data to determine the optical model parameters for the reactions at an incident energy of 100 MeV, which were then used in distorted-wave Born approximation (DWBA) calculations to predict the cross sections of the reactions.
Journal ArticleDOI

New Determination of the 2 H(d,p) 3 H and 2 H(d,n) 3 He Reaction Rates at Astrophysical Energies

TL;DR: In this article, the cross sections of 2H(d,p)3H and 2Hd,n)3He reactions have been measured via the Trojan Horse method applied to the quasi-free 2H3He,p 3H)1H processes at 18 MeV off the proton in 3He, across the relevant region for standard Big Bang nucleosynthesis, down to the thermal energies of deuterium burning in the pre-main-sequence phase of stellar evolution, as well as of future fusion reactors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Asymptotic normalization coefficients for B-8 ---> Be-7 + p from a study of Li-8 ---> Li-7 + n

TL;DR: Asymptotic normalization coefficients (ANCs) for B-8 were extracted from the neutron transfer reaction C-13(Li-7,Li-8)C-12 at 63 MeV.
