Catalytic gasification of cellulose and pinewood to H2 in supercritical water

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of catalysts on supercritical water gasification of cellulose and pinewood were studied at different operating conditions without and with catalysts, and the results showed that the presence of Ni/CeO2/Al2O3 contributed to a 30.7% increase in H2 yield followed by a 28.3% increase using dolomite compared to that for non-catalytic run.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cr-free Co-Cu/SBA-15 catalysts for hydrogenation of biomass-derived α-, β-unsaturated aldehyde to alcohol

TL;DR: In this article, the performance of SBA-15-supported Co-Cu catalysts was evaluated in the conversion of biomass-derived α-, β-unsaturated aldehyde (furfural) to value-added chemical furfuryl alcohol (FOL).
Journal ArticleDOI

Selective ring opening of decalin with Pt–Ir on Zr modified MCM-41

TL;DR: In this paper, the selectivity of Zr-MCM-41 was investigated in the ring opening of decalin in the temperature range of 300-400°C at 5MPa in the presence of hydrogen.
Journal ArticleDOI

Systematic screening and modification of Ni based catalysts for hydrogen generation from supercritical water gasification of lignin

TL;DR: In this article, a systematic screening of 29 catalysts synthesized using five supports: Al2O3, activated carbon (AC), TiO2, ZrO 2, MgO, and three promoters: Co, Cu, Ce (with two different Ce precursors) was performed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Innovations in applications and prospects of bioplastics and biopolymers: a review

TL;DR: In this paper, a review of bioplastic polymers such as polyhydroxyalkanoate, polylactic acid, poly-3-hydroxybutyrate and polyamide 11 is presented.
