TL;DR: It is proposed that an international working group could coordinate the nomenclature of lagoviruses and any proposals for revision and be divided into two genogroups that correspond to RHDV- and EBHSV-related viruses, respectively.

TL;DR: The serological survey of stocked hare sera taken from Italian and Spanish hare populations provided an understanding of naturally occurring R HDV2 infection in the field confirming its sporadic occurrence in EBH, and increased the knowledge on distribution, host range and epidemiology of RHDV2.
