Journal ArticleDOI
Abnormal pattern detected in fragile-X patients by pulsed-field gel electrophoresis
TL;DR: To detect rearrangements, or methylation changes that may reflect a locally inactive X chromosome, pulsed-field gel analysis of DNA from fragile-X patients with probes close to the fragile- X locus was used.
Journal ArticleDOI
BRCA1 interacts with acetyl-CoA carboxylase through its tandem of BRCT domains.
Clémence Magnard,Richard Bachelier,Anne Vincent,Michel Jaquinod,Sylvie Kieffer,Gilbert M. Lenoir,Nicole Dalla Venezia +6 more
TL;DR: The observation is making a bridge between the genetic factors involved in susceptibility to breast and ovarian cancers, and environmental factors such as nutrition considered as key elements in the etiology of those cancers.
Journal ArticleDOI
Delayed Postconditioning in the Mouse Heart In Vivo
François Roubille,Alicia Franck-Miclo,Aurélie Covinhes,Chrystel Lafont,Frédéric Cransac,Stéphane Combes,Anne Vincent,Pierre Fontanaud,Catherine Sportouch-Dukhan,Christelle Redt-Clouet,Joël Nargeot,Christophe Piot,Stéphanie Barrère-Lemaire +12 more
TL;DR: This in vivo mouse model of myocardial IR shows for the first time that delaying the intervention of postconditioning to 30 minutes does not abrogate the cardioprotective effect of post Conditioning, providing evidence that the time window of protection afforded by post conditioning may be larger than initially reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ribosomal Proteins Regulate MHC Class I Peptide Generation for Immunosurveillance.
Jiajie Wei,Rigel J. Kishton,Matthew Angel,Crystal S. Conn,Nicole Dalla-Venezia,Virginie Marcel,Anne Vincent,Frédéric Catez,Sabrina Ferré,Lilia Ayadi,Virginie Marchand,Devin Dersh,James Gibbs,Ivaylo Ivanov,Nathan Fridlyand,Yohann Couté,Jean-Jacques Diaz,Shu-Bing Qian,Louis M. Staudt,Nicholas P. Restifo,Jonathan W. Yewdell +20 more
TL;DR: It is shown that 60S ribosomal proteins L6 and RPL28, which are adjacent on the ribosome, play opposite roles in generating an influenza A virus-encoded peptide, which raises the possibility of modulating immunosurveillance by pharmaceutical targeting ribosomes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cardiac arrhythmia induced by genetic silencing of ‘funny’ ( f ) channels is rescued by GIRK4 inactivation
Pietro Mesirca,Jacqueline Alig,Angelo G. Torrente,Jana Christina Müller,Laurine Marger,Anne Rollin,Claire Marquilly,Anne Vincent,Stefan J. Dubel,Isabelle Bidaud,Anne Fernandez,Anika Seniuk,Birgit Engeland,Jasmin Singh,Lucile Miquerol,Heimo Ehmke,Thomas Eschenhagen,Joël Nargeot,Kevin Wickman,Dirk Isbrandt,Matteo E. Mangoni +20 more
TL;DR: This study establishes the role of f-channels in cardiac automaticity and indicates that arrhythmia related to HCN loss-of-function may be managed by pharmacological or genetic inhibition of GIRK4 channels, thus offering a new therapeutic strategy for the treatment of heart rhythm diseases.
