Galaxies in X-Ray Groups. I. Robust Membership Assignment and the Impact of Group Environments on Quenching
Matthew R. George,Matthew R. George,Alexie Leauthaud,Alexie Leauthaud,Kevin Bundy,Alexis Finoguenov,Jeremy L. Tinker,Yen-Ting Lin,Yen-Ting Lin,Simona Mei,Jean-Paul Kneib,Herve Aussel,Peter Behroozi,Peter Behroozi,Michael T. Busha,Peter Capak,Lodovico Coccato,Giovanni Covone,C. Faure,Stephanie L. Fiorenza,Olivier Ilbert,Emeric Le Floc'h,Anton M. Koekemoer,Masayuki Tanaka,Risa H. Wechsler,Risa H. Wechsler,M. Wolk +26 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a probabilistic method for assigning galaxies to groups based on precise photometric redshifts and X-ray-selected groups drawn from the COSMOS field is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
ON THE DETECTION OF IONIZING RADIATION ARISING FROM STAR-FORMING GALAXIES AT REDSHIFT z ∼ 3-4: LOOKING FOR ANALOGS OF “STELLAR RE-IONIZERS”
Eros Vanzella,Yicheng Guo,Mauro Giavalisco,Andrea Grazian,Marco Castellano,Stefano Cristiani,Mark Dickinson,Adriano Fontana,Mario Nonino,Emanuele Giallongo,Laura Pentericci,Audrey Galametz,S. M. Faber,Henry C. Ferguson,Norman A. Grogin,Anton M. Koekemoer,Jeffrey A. Newman,Brian Siana +17 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used the spatially resolved, multi-band photometry in the GOODS South field acquired by the CANDELS project to constrain the nature of candidate Lyman continuum (LyC) emitters at redshift z = 3.7 identified using ultradeep imaging below the Lyman limit.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pixel-based correction for Charge Transfer Inefficiency in the Hubble Space Telescope Advanced Camera for Surveys
Richard Massey,Chris Stoughton,Alexie Leauthaud,Jason Rhodes,Anton M. Koekemoer,Richard S. Ellis,Edgar Shaghoulian +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a physically motivated correction scheme for charge transfer efficiency (CTI) in the Advanced Camera for Surveys (ACS)/Wide Field Channel (WFC) was proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Multi-wavelength View of Kiloparsec-scale Clumps in Star-forming Galaxies at z ~ 2
TL;DR: In this paper, the properties of kiloparsec-scale clumps in star-forming galaxies at z ≈ 2 through multi-wavelength broadband photometry were studied, showing that clumps emerge as regions with enhanced specific star formation rates, contributing individually and together approximately 50% of the SFR of the host galaxies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Deep Near-infrared Spectroscopy of Passively Evolving Galaxies at z ≳ 1.4
Masato Onodera,Alvio Renzini,M. Carollo,Michele Cappellari,C. Mancini,Veronica Strazzullo,Emanuele Daddi,Nobuo Arimoto,Nobuo Arimoto,Raphael Gobat,Yoshihiko Yamada,H. J. McCracken,Olivier Ilbert,Peter Capak,Alessandro Cimatti,Mauro Giavalisco,Anton M. Koekemoer,Xu Kong,S. Lilly,Kentaro Motohara,Kouji Ohta,David B. Sanders,N. Z. Scoville,Naoyuki Tamura,Yoshiaki Taniguchi +24 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present the results of near-IR spectroscopic observations of passive galaxies at z greater than or similar to 1.4 in a concentration of BzK-selected galaxies in the COSMOS field.
