Methane storage in flexible metal–organic frameworks with intrinsic thermal management
Jarad A. Mason,Julia Oktawiec,Mercedes K. Taylor,Matthew R. Hudson,Julien Rodriguez,Jonathan E. Bachman,Miguel I. Gonzalez,Antonio Cervellino,Antonietta Guagliardi,Craig M. Brown,Craig M. Brown,Philip L. Llewellyn,Norberto Masciocchi,Jeffrey R. Long +13 more
TL;DR: Flexible compounds Fe(bdp) and Co(BDp) (bdp2− = 1,4-benzenedipyrazolate) are shown to undergo a structural phase transition in response to specific CH4 pressures, resulting in adsorption and desorption isotherms that feature a sharp ‘step’.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Materials Science beamline upgrade at the Swiss Light Source
Philip R. Willmott,D. Meister,Steven J. Leake,M. Lange,Anna Bergamaschi,M. Böge,Marco Calvi,Claudia Cancellieri,Nicola Casati,Antonio Cervellino,Q. Chen,Christian David,Uwe Flechsig,Fabia Gozzo,B. Henrich,S. Jäggi-Spielmann,B. Jakob,Irakli Kalichava,Petri Karvinen,J. Krempasky,A. Lüdeke,R. Lüscher,S. Maag,Christoph Quitmann,M. L. Reinle-Schmitt,Thomas J. Schmidt,Bernd Schmitt,Andreas Streun,Ismo Vartiainen,M. Vitins,X. Wang,R. J. Wullschleger +31 more
TL;DR: The wiggler X-ray source of the Materials Science beamline at the Swiss Light Source has been replaced with a 14 mm-period cryogenically cooled in-vacuum undulator to best exploit the increased brilliance of this new source.
Journal ArticleDOI
Coherent Nanotwins and Dynamic Disorder in Cesium Lead Halide Perovskite Nanocrystals
Federica Bertolotti,Loredana Protesescu,Loredana Protesescu,Maksym V. Kovalenko,Maksym V. Kovalenko,Sergii Yakunin,Sergii Yakunin,Antonio Cervellino,Simon J. L. Billinge,Simon J. L. Billinge,Maxwell W. Terban,Jan Skov Pedersen,Norberto Masciocchi,Antonietta Guagliardi +13 more
TL;DR: Crystal defects in highy luminescent colloidal nanocrystals (NCs) of CsPbX3 perovskites are investigated and evidence is provided that the local structure of these NCs always exhibits orthorhombic tilting of PbX6 octahedra within locally ordered subdomains.
Journal ArticleDOI
The MYTHEN detector for X-ray powder diffraction experiments at the Swiss Light Source
Anna Bergamaschi,Antonio Cervellino,Roberto Dinapoli,Fabia Gozzo,B. Henrich,Ian Johnson,P. Kraft,Aldo Mozzanica,Bernd Schmitt,Xintian Shi +9 more
TL;DR: A report on the characterization, calibration and performances of the MYTHEN photon-counting silicon microstrip detector at the powder diffraction station at the Swiss Light Source is given.
Journal ArticleDOI
Graphene on Ru(0001): A 25×25 Supercell
D. Martoccia,P.R. Willmott,Thomas Brugger,M. Björck,Sebastian Günther,Christian M. Schlepütz,Antonio Cervellino,S. A. Pauli,Bruce D. Patterson,S. Marchini,Joost Wintterlin,Wolfgang Moritz,Thomas Greber +12 more
TL;DR: Strong intensity oscillations in the superstructure rods demonstrate that the Ru substrate is also significantly corrugated down to several monolayers and that the bonding between graphene and Ru is strong and cannot be caused by van der Waals bonds.
