Journal ArticleDOI
A randomized controlled study of the acute and chronic effects of cooling therapy for MS.
Steven R. Schwid,Mary D Petrie,Ronald S. Murray,Jennifer Leitch,James D. Bowen,Alan Alquist,Richard Pelligrino,Adam Roberts,Judith Harper-Bennie,Maria Dawn Milan,Raul Guisado,Bernadette Luna,Leslie D. Montgomery,Richard Lamparter,Yu-Tsuan Ku,Hank C. Lee,Danielle Goldwater,Gary Cutter,Bruce W. Webbon,Nasa +19 more
TL;DR: Cooling therapy was associated with objectively measurable but modest improvements in motor and visual function as well as persistent subjective benefits.
Journal ArticleDOI
An overview of the ORACLES (ObseRvations of Aerosols above CLouds and their intEractionS) project: aerosol–cloud–radiation interactions in the southeast Atlantic basin

TL;DR: The ORACLES (ObseRvations of Aerosols above CLouds and their intEractionS) project is a five-year NASA EVS-2 (Earth Venture Suborbital-2) investigation with three Intensive Observation Periods designed to study key atmospheric processes that determine the climate impacts of these aerosols.
Journal ArticleDOI
Physiologic and functional responses of MS patients to body cooling.
TL;DR: The circulating liquid cooling vest was found to be more effective than either of the two passive cooling garments tested, and produced the coldest skin temperature and provided the most improvement on subjective and objective performance measures.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Evaluation of Commercial Off-the-Shelf Sorbents and Catalysts for Control of Ammonia and Carbon Monoxide
TL;DR: In this article, the results of a comparative experimental investigation into materials for trace contaminant control that might be part of such a system are presented, with the focus on ammonia sorbents and low temperature carbon monoxide (CO) oxidation catalysts.
Journal ArticleDOI
High pressure excess isotherms for adsorption of oxygen and nitrogen in zeolites.
Yu Wang,Bernardus P Helvensteijn,Nabijan Nizamidin,Angelae M. Erion,Laura A. Steiner,Lila Mulloth,Bernadette Luna,M. Douglas LeVan +7 more
TL;DR: Comparing two models with temperature-dependent coefficients, a virial isotherms model provides a better description than a Toth isotherm model, even with the same number of parameters, with good agreement for overlapping temperatures.
