Electron screening and its effects on Big-Bang nucleosynthesis

TL;DR: Itoh et al. as discussed by the authors studied the effects of electron screening on nuclear reaction rates occurring during the big-bang nucleosynthesis epoch and showed that electron screening does not produce noticeable results in the abundances unless the traditional Debye-H¨ uckel model for the treatment of screening in stellar environments is enhanced by several orders of magnitude.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effective proton-neutron interaction near the drip line from unbound states in F-25,F-26

Marine Vandebrouck, +111 more
- 08 Nov 2017 -
TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied the energy and width of the J(pi) = 3(1)(+) unbound state in F-26 and F-25, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electron scattering on halo nuclei

TL;DR: In this article, the inelastic scattering of electrons on weakly-bound nuclei is studied with a simple model based on the long range behavior of the bound state wavefunction and on the effective range expansion for the continuum wavefunctions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Tunneling of Atoms, Nuclei and Molecules

TL;DR: In this paper, a brief review of few relevant topics on tunneling of composite particles and how the coupling to intrinsic and external degrees of freedom affects tunneling probabilities is presented, including different barriers seen by subsystems, damping of resonant tunneling by level bunching and continuum effects due to particle dissociation.
