Benchmarking framework for myocardial tracking and deformation algorithms: an open access database.
Catalina Tobon-Gomez,M. De Craene,M. De Craene,Kristin McLeod,Lennart Tautz,Wenzhe Shi,Anja Hennemuth,Adityo Prakosa,Haiyan Wang,Gerald Carr-White,Stamatis Kapetanakis,Anja Lutz,Volker Rasche,Tobias Schaeffter,Constantine Butakoff,Ola Friman,Tommaso Mansi,Maxime Sermesant,Xiahai Zhuang,Sebastien Ourselin,H-O. Peitgen,Xavier Pennec,Reza Razavi,Daniel Rueckert,Alejandro F. Frangi,Alejandro F. Frangi,Kawal Rhode +26 more
TL;DR: A benchmarking framework for the validation of cardiac motion analysis algorithms is presented and good agreement was found between the different modalities and methodologies, except for radial strain that showed a high variability in cases of lower image quality.
Journal ArticleDOI
Benchmark for Algorithms Segmenting the Left Atrium From 3D CT and MRI Datasets
Catalina Tobon-Gomez,A. J. Geers,Jochen Peters,Jürgen Weese,Karen Pinto,Rashed Karim,Mohammed Ammar,Abdelaziz Daoudi,Jan Margeta,Zulma Sandoval,Birgit Stender,Yefeng Zheng,Maria A. Zuluaga,Julian Betancur,Nicholas Ayache,Mohammed Amine Chikh,Jean-Louis Dillenseger,B. Michael Kelm,Saïd Mahmoudi,Sebastien Ourselin,Alexander Schlaefer,Tobias Schaeffter,Reza Razavi,Kawal Rhode +23 more
TL;DR: A standardisation framework can be used to label and further analyse anatomical regions of the LA by performing the standardisation directly on the left atrial surface, including meshes exported from different electroanatomical mapping systems.

Simpson,Lena Maier-Hein,M. Jorge Cardoso +57 more
TL;DR: The Medical Segmentation Decathlon (MSD) as mentioned in this paper was organized to evaluate the performance of image segmentation algorithms given a specific clinical problem and a set of unseen clinical problems, such as unbalanced labels, multi-site data and small objects.
Journal ArticleDOI
Myocardial tissue characterization by cardiac magnetic resonance imaging using T1 mapping predicts ventricular arrhythmia in ischemic and non–ischemic cardiomyopathy patients with implantable cardioverter-defibrillators
Zhong Chen,Manav Sohal,Tobias Ratko Voigt,Eva Sammut,Catalina Tobon-Gomez,Nicholas Child,Tom Jackson,Anoop Shetty,Julian Bostock,Michael Cooklin,Mark D O'Neill,Matthew Wright,Francis Murgatroyd,Jaswinder Gill,Gerry Carr-White,Amedeo Chiribiri,Tobias Schaeffter,Reza Razavi,C. Aldo Rinaldi +18 more
TL;DR: Quantitative myocardial tissue assessment using T1 mapping is an independent predictor of ventricular arrhythmia in both ischemic and non-ischemic cardiomyopathies.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Comprehensive Cardiac Motion Estimation Framework Using Both Untagged and 3-D Tagged MR Images Based on Nonrigid Registration
Wenzhe Shi,Xiahai Zhuang,Haiyan Wang,Simon G. Duckett,D. V. N. Luong,Catalina Tobon-Gomez,Kai-Pin Tung,Philip J. Edwards,Kawal Rhode,Reza Razavi,Sebastien Ourselin,Daniel Rueckert +11 more
TL;DR: The proposed approach integrates a valve plane tracker and adaptive incompressibility into the framework and shows a clear improvement in terms of accuracy compared to approaches that use either 3-D tagged or untagged MR image information alone.
