Journal ArticleDOI
Organic solar cells based on non-fullerene acceptors.
TL;DR: Non-fullerene OSCs show great tunability in absorption spectra and electron energy levels, providing a wide range of new opportunities, and this Review highlights these opportunities made possible by NF acceptors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fullerene-Free Polymer Solar Cells with over 11% Efficiency and Excellent Thermal Stability
TL;DR: A nonfullerene-based polymer solar cell (PSC) that significantly outperforms fullerene -based PSCs with respect to the power-conversion efficiency and excellent thermal stability is demonstrated for the first time.
Journal ArticleDOI
Perovskite light-emitting diodes based on solution-processed self-organized multiple quantum wells
Nana Wang,Lu Cheng,Ge Rui,Shuting Zhang,Yanfeng Miao,Wei Zou,Chang Yi,Yan Sun,Yu Cao,Rong Yang,Yingqiang Wei,Qiang Guo,You Ke,Maotao Yu,Yizheng Jin,Yang Liu,Qingqing Ding,Dawei Di,Le Yang,Guichuan Xing,He Tian,Chuanhong Jin,Feng Gao,Richard H. Friend,Jianpu Wang,Wei Huang,Wei Huang +26 more
TL;DR: Perovskite quantum wells yield highly efficient LEDs spanning the visible and near-infrared as discussed by the authors. But their performance is not as good as those of traditional LEDs, and their lifetime is shorter.
Journal ArticleDOI
Over 16% efficiency organic photovoltaic cells enabled by a chlorinated acceptor with increased open-circuit voltages
Yong Cui,Huifeng Yao,Jianqi Zhang,Tao Zhang,Yuming Wang,Ling Hong,Kaihu Xian,Bowei Xu,Shaoqing Zhang,Shaoqing Zhang,Jing Peng,Zhixiang Wei,Feng Gao,Jianhui Hou +13 more
TL;DR: This study demonstrates that finely tuning the OPV materials to reduce the bandgap-voltage offset has great potential for boosting the efficiency and unexpectedly obtain higher open-circuit voltages and achieve a record high PCE of 16.5% by chlorination.
Journal ArticleDOI
Single-Junction Organic Photovoltaic Cells with Approaching 18% Efficiency.
Yong Cui,Huifeng Yao,Jianqi Zhang,Kaihu Xian,Tao Zhang,Ling Hong,Yuming Wang,Yuming Wang,Ye Xu,Kangqiao Ma,Cunbin An,Chang He,Zhixiang Wei,Zhixiang Wei,Feng Gao,Jianhui Hou +15 more
TL;DR: The results demonstrate that minimizing the alkyl chains to get suitable solubility and enhanced intermolecular packing has a great potential in further improving its photovoltaic performance.
