Journal ArticleDOI

Evolution of functional six-nucleotide DNA.

TL;DR: The GACTZP library was challenged to deliver molecules that bind selectively to liver cancer cells, but not to untransformed liver cells, unlike in classical in vitro selection, low levels of mutation allow this system to evolve to create binding molecules not necessarily present in the original library.
Journal ArticleDOI

Role of CXCR3-induced donor T-cell migration in acute GVHD.

TL;DR: The migration of donor CD8(+) T cells to GVHD target organs such as the intestine depends on the expression of CXCR3 and contributes significantly to GvHD damage and overall mortality.
Journal ArticleDOI

Manipulating the Bioenergetics of Alloreactive T Cells Causes Their Selective Apoptosis and Arrests Graft-Versus-Host Disease

TL;DR: After bone marrow transplantation, alloreactive T cells, but not other proliferating T cells and bone marrow cells, up-regulated both aerobic glycolysis and OXPHOS to meet their increased energy demand to prevent graft-versus-host disease (GVHD).
Journal ArticleDOI

Prevention of GVHD while sparing GVL effect by targeting Th1 and Th17 transcription factor T-bet and RORγt in mice

TL;DR: It is shown that GVHD can be prevented by targeting Th1 and Th17 transcription factors without offsetting GVL activity, and this data indicates that HCT benefits are frequently offset by the destructive GV HD.
