High resolution analysis of DNA copy number variation using comparative genomic hybridization to microarrays
Daniel Pinkel,Daniel Pinkel,Richard Segraves,Damir Sudar,Steven M. Clark,Ian Poole,David Kowbel,Colin Collins,Wen Lin Kuo,Chira Chen,Ye Zhai,Shanaz H. Dairkee,Britt-Marie Ljung,Joe W. Gray,Joe W. Gray,Donna G. Albertson,Donna G. Albertson,Donna G. Albertson +17 more
TL;DR: The implementation of array CGH is demonstrated to be able to measure copy number with high precision in the human genome, and to analyse clinical specimens by obtaining new information on chromosome 20 aberrations in breast cancer.
Journal Article
Genomic Copy Number Analysis of Non-small Cell Lung Cancer Using Array Comparative Genomic Hybridization Implications of the Phosphatidylinositol 3-Kinase Pathway
Pierre P. Massion,Wen-Lin Kuo,David Stokoe,Adam B. Olshen,Patrick A. Treseler,Koei Chin,Chira Chen,Daniel Polikoff,Ajay N. Jain,Daniel Pinkel,Donna G. Albertson,David M. Jablons,Joe W. Gray +12 more
TL;DR: Activity of the downstream PI3K effector protein kinase B was higher in SqCas than in AdCas and was correlated with PIK3CA copy number, suggesting that these copy number increases contribute to activation ofPI3K signaling in SquCas of the lung.
Journal ArticleDOI
Molecular cytogenetic analysis of consistent abnormalities at 8q12‐q22 in breast cancer
TL;DR: An ∼ 1 Mb wide region that appears to be frequently abnormal in copy number or structure in breast cancer cell lines and primary tumors is defined and the possibility that a single gene mapping to 928F9 is involved in Breast cancer development or progression and may be deregulated by copy number increases in some tumors and by translocation in others is suggested.
Journal ArticleDOI

Journal ArticleDOI
Identification of an epithelial-specific enhancer regulating ESX expression.
TL;DR: The aim of this study was to determine the underlying genetic basis for epithelial-specific expression of ESX and to identify a 30bp ESX enhancer sequence (EES) approximately 3 kb upstream of the proximal promoter.
