A coherent set of future land use change scenarios for Europe
Mark Rounsevell,Isabelle Reginster,Miguel B. Araújo,Timothy R. Carter,Nicolas Dendoncker,Frank Ewert,Joanna Isobel House,Susanna Kankaanpää,Rik Leemans,Marc J. Metzger,Claude Schmit,Pete Smith,G. Tuck +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a range of future, spatially explicit, land use change scenarios for the EU15, Norway and Switzerland based on an interpretation of the global storylines of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) that are presented in the special report on emissions scenarios (SRES).
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the evolution of European land management over the past 200 years with the aim of identifying key episodes of changes in land management, and their underlying technological, institutional and economic drivers.

Journal ArticleDOI
The limitations of spatial land use data in environmental analysis
TL;DR: In this paper, detailed agricultural parcel and farm location data in central Belgium is used to reveal landscape structure and to identify the processes that are responsible for this structure, at least partly by the relative location of fields to farms.
Journal ArticleDOI
Exploring spatial data uncertainties in land-use change scenarios
TL;DR: Differences in landscape composition and configuration between the three cell class assignment methods and the three spatial resolutions were found to be at least as large as the differences between the LUC scenarios, in spite of the large LUC projected by the scenarios.
