Journal ArticleDOI

Plasmodesmata form and function

TL;DR: Intercellular transport via plasmodesmata controls cell fate decisions in plants, and is of fundamental importance in viral movement, disease resistance, and the spread of RNAi signals.
Journal ArticleDOI

CDK/ERK-mediated phosphorylation of the human influenza A virus NS1 protein at threonine-215.

TL;DR: The data suggest that CDK/ERK-mediated phosphorylation of NS1 at threonine-215 is important for efficient virus replication, and this work reports that during infection the multifunctional human influenza A virus NS1 protein is phosphorylated at threyside-215.
Journal Article

CD44H Expression by Human Neuroblastoma Cells: Relation to MYCN Amplification and Lineage Differentiation

TL;DR: It is shown that the CD44 standard molecule is highly expressed in 100% of stage I-III, IVs neuroblastomas and ganglioneuromas but only in a subset of stage IV tumors, thus demonstrating a highly significant negative relationship between MYCN amplification and CD44 expression in neuroblastoma.
Journal ArticleDOI

High-precision measurement of the left-right Z Boson cross-section asymmetry.

Kenji Abe, +142 more
TL;DR: The pole value of the asymmetry, A(0)(LR), is measured to be 0.150 56+/-0.002 39 which is equivalent to an effective weak mixing angle of sin (2)straight theta(eff)(W) = 0.231 07+/- 0.000 30.
