Genital HIV-1 RNA Predicts Risk of Heterosexual HIV-1 Transmission

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that higher concentrations of HIV-1 RNA in genital secretions are associated with a greater risk of heterosexual transmission of HIV, and that these concentrations provide a new biomarker for predicting the infectiousness of HIV–infected individuals.
