TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that the presence of a phase transition early in the history of the universe, associated with spontaneous symmetry breaking (believed to take place at very high temperatures at which the various fundamental interactions unify), significantly modifies its dynamics and evolution.

Exact vacuum solution to conformal Weyl gravity and galactic rotation curves
TL;DR: In this paper, the exact exterior solution for a static, spherically symmetric source in locally conformal invariant Weyl gravity is presented, which includes the familiar exterior Schwarzschild solution as a special case and contains an extra gravitational potential term which grows linearly with distance.
