TL;DR: Light is shed on the recent advances in both bench and bedside investigation of immunotherapeutic options for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma about how PDAC adopts immune escape mechanisms, and how these mechanisms might be exploited therapeutically in combination with immune checkpoint inhibitors, such as PD-1 or CTLA-4 antibodies.

TL;DR: While Loxl2 ablation had little effect on primary tumour development and growth, its loss significantly decreased metastasis and increased overall survival, and novel pathophysiological roles and functions for LOXL2 in PDAC are established.
