PD-1 Blockade by CT-011, Anti-PD-1 Antibody, Enhances Ex Vivo T-cell Responses to Autologous Dendritic Cell/Myeloma Fusion Vaccine
Jacalyn Rosenblatt,Brett Glotzbecker,Heidi Mills,Baldev Vasir,Dimitrios Tzachanis,James D. Levine,Robin Joyce,Kerry Wellenstein,Whitney Keefe,Michael Schickler,Rinat Rotem-Yehudar,Donald Kufe,David Avigan +12 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that PD-1 expression is increased in T cells of patients with active myeloma, and that CT-011 enhances activated T-cell responses after DC/tumor fusion stimulation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Tob is a negative regulator of activation that is expressed in anergic and quiescent T cells
Dimitrios Tzachanis,Gordon J. Freeman,Naoto Hirano,Andre A. F. L. van Puijenbroek,Michael W. Delfs,Alla Berezovskaya,Lee M. Nadler,Vassiliki A. Boussiotis +7 more
TL;DR: T cell quiescence is an actively maintained phenotype that must be suppressed for T cell activation to occur and Tob, a member of an anti-proliferative gene family, was highly expressed in anergic T cell clones.
Journal ArticleDOI
KTE-X19 for relapsed or refractory adult B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia: phase 2 results of the single-arm, open-label, multicentre ZUMA-3 study
Bijal D. Shah,Armin Ghobadi,Olalekan O. Oluwole,Aaron C Logan,Nicolas Boissel,Ryan D. Cassaday,Thibaut Leguay,Michael R. Bishop,Max S. Topp,Dimitrios Tzachanis,Kristen M. O'Dwyer,Martha Arellano,Yi Lin,Maria R. Baer,Gary J. Schiller,Jae H. Park,Marion Subklewe,Mehrdad Abedi,Monique C. Minnema,William G. Wierda,Daniel J. DeAngelo,Patrick J. Stiff,Deepa Jeyakumar,Chaoling Feng,Jinghui Dong,Tong Shen,Francesca Milletti,John M. Rossi,Remus Vezan,Behzad Kharabi Masouleh,Roch Houot +30 more
TL;DR: The pivotal phase 2 results of ZUMA-3, an international, multicentre, single-arm, open-label study evaluating the efficacy and safety of the autologous anti-CD19 chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy KTE-X19 in adult patients with relapsed or refractory B-precursor acute lymphoblastic leukaemia remain poor, underlining the need for more effective therapies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Vaccination with Dendritic Cell/Tumor Fusions following Autologous Stem Cell Transplant Induces Immunologic and Clinical Responses in Multiple Myeloma Patients
Jacalyn Rosenblatt,Irit Avivi,Baldev Vasir,Lynne Uhl,Nikhil C. Munshi,Tami Katz,Bimalangshu R. Dey,Poorvi Somaiya,Heidi Mills,Federico Campigotto,Edie Weller,Robin Joyce,James D. Levine,Dimitrios Tzachanis,Paul G. Richardson,Jacob P. Laubach,Noopur Raje,Vassiliki A. Boussiotis,Yan Emily Yuan,Lina Bisharat,Viki Held,Jacob M. Rowe,Kenneth C. Anderson,Donald Kufe,David Avigan +24 more
TL;DR: The posttransplant period for patients with multiple myeloma provides a unique platform for cellular immunotherapy in which vaccination with dendritic cell/myeloma fusion fusions resulted in the marked expansion of myelomas-specific T cells and cytoreduction of minimal residual disease.
Journal ArticleDOI
Antipsychotic Drugs: From Receptor-binding Profiles to Metabolic Side Effects.
TL;DR: Emerging evidence suggests that antipsychotics have different liabilities to induce obesity, diabetes and dyslipidemia, however this diversity cannot be explained merely by drugs’pharmacodynamic profiles, highlighting the need for further research.
