New Constraints on ΩM, ΩΛ, and w from an Independent Set of 11 High-Redshift Supernovae Observed with the Hubble Space Telescope*

TL;DR: In this paper, a set of high-redshift supernovae were used to confirm previous supernova evidence for an accelerating universe, and the supernova results were combined with independent flat-universe measurements of the mass density from CMB and galaxy redshift distortion data, they provided a measurement of $w=-1.05^{+0.15}-0.09$ if w is assumed to be constant in time.
Journal ArticleDOI

Spectroscopic observations and analysis of the peculiar SN 1999aa

G. Garavini, +66 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an extensive time series of spectroscopic data of the peculiar SN 1999aa in NGC 2595 is presented, including 25 optical spectra between -11 and +58 days with respect to B-band maximum light, providing an unusually complete time history.
Journal ArticleDOI

Quantitative comparison between Type Ia supernova spectra at low and high redshifts: A case study

TL;DR: In this article, the strength of the absorption features in Type Ia supernova (SN Ia) spectra was measured and used to make a quantitative comparison between the spectra of SNe Ia at low and high redshifts.
