Journal ArticleDOI

Multipole radiation from massive fields: Application to binary pulsar systems.

TL;DR: A general multipole expansion for radiation from massive vector and scalar fields is developed for periodic sources and this formalism is combined with data on the binary pulsar PSR 1913+16 to set limits on the electric charge of astrophysical bodies, and on the coupling strengths of new weak forces.
Journal ArticleDOI

New experimental test of the pauli exclusion principle using accelerator mass spectrometry

TL;DR: The results of a new experimental search for the Pauli-forbidden 1s(4) state of Be, denoted by Be ('), improve on those obtained in a previous search by a factor of approximately 300.
Journal ArticleDOI

MEMS-based force sensor: Design and applications

TL;DR: The sensitivity and unique features of micromachined torsional oscillators allow us to undertake experiments that set new constraints on corrections to Newtonian gravitational forces at separations below 1 μm, and provide the most precise characterization of quantum vacuum fluctuation forces to date.
Journal ArticleDOI

Probability distribution of distance in a uniform ellipsoid: Theory and applications to physics

TL;DR: In this paper, the Coulomb energy of an ellipsoidal nucleus was calculated as an expansion in powers of e. This result greatly facilitates the calculation of self-energies of spherically symmetric matter distributions interacting by means of an arbitrary radially symmetric two-body potential.
