Curcumin in Liver Diseases: A Systematic Review of the Cellular Mechanisms of Oxidative Stress and Clinical Perspective
Mohammad Hosein Farzaei,Mahdi Zobeiri,Fatemeh Parvizi,Fardous F. El-Senduny,Ilias Marmouzi,Ericsson Coy-Barrera,Rozita Naseri,Seyed Mohammad Nabavi,Roja Rahimi,Mohammad Abdollahi +9 more
TL;DR: Electronic databases were extensively searched and results showed that curcumin exerts remarkable protective and therapeutic effects of oxidative associated liver diseases through various cellular and molecular mechanisms.
Journal ArticleDOI
Targeting Inflammation by Flavonoids: Novel Therapeutic Strategy for Metabolic Disorders
Mohammad Hosein Farzaei,Amit Kumar Singh,Ramesh Kumar,Courtney R. Croley,Abhay K. Pandey,Ericsson Coy-Barrera,Jayanta Kumar Patra,Gitishree Das,Rout George Kerry,Giuseppe Annunziata,Gian Carlo Tenore,Haroon Khan,Matteo Micucci,Roberta Budriesi,Saeideh Momtaz,Saeideh Momtaz,Seyed Mohammad Nabavi,Anupam Bishayee +17 more
TL;DR: The mechanisms via which the polyphenols, in particular flavonoids, act provide a promising treatment option for inflammatory disorders, however, detailed clinical studies of such molecules are required to decide their clinical fate.
Journal ArticleDOI

Seca +18 more
TL;DR: An overview of Euphorbia-derived natural products such as essential oils, extracts, and pure compounds, active in a broad range of biological activities, and with potential usages in health maintenance, is described.
Journal ArticleDOI
Botanicals Against Tetranychus urticae Koch Under Laboratory Conditions: A Survey of Alternatives for Controlling Pest Mites.
TL;DR: Many of the most studied botanical families are particularly abundant and exhibit several results at different levels and can be considered as promising elements to be included into integrated pest management for controlling T. urticae.
Journal ArticleDOI
Rose volatile compounds allow the design of new control strategies for the western flower thrips ( Frankliniella occidentalis )
TL;DR: Thrips showed significant positive chemotaxis (attraction) to six compounds, and of these, the highest response was detected for (±)-theaspirane, suggesting that the tested VOCs could be used to develop a new strategy for the control of WFT on roses.
