Journal Article
[Study on performance characteristics of carbon membrane-aerated biofilm reactor treating municipal wastewater].
TL;DR: A carbon membrane-aerated biofilm reactor developed to treat municipal wastewater showed a high degree of adhesion onto carbon membrane and that oxygen transfer coefficient of carbon membrane was 0.36 m/h, making it feasible to serve as both biofilm carrier and aerator.
Journal ArticleDOI
Electro-activation of peroxymonosulfate by β-PbO2 partial filling/covering TiO2 nanotube arrays anode for alkaloid berberine degradation: Performance, mechanism and practicability
TL;DR: In this article , an interlocking T-shape structure was built by uniform filling β-PbO2 crystalline inside the trace Ti3+ self-doping TiO2 nanotube arrays (TNAs) channels and depositing the cauliflower-like β-PsO2 clusters on its upper surface through a facile current pulse deposition method.
Journal ArticleDOI
High ambient temperatures are associated with urban crime risk in Chicago.
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors quantitatively estimated the effects of high and low temperatures on urban crime in Chicago and found that high temperature has a positive promoting effect on non-domestic crime, and the effect occurs at lag day 0 with a maximum risk of 1.40 (95%CI, 1.34-1.46).
Catalytic dechlorination of chlorophenols in water by palladium/iron
TL;DR: Three isomer chlorophenols, o-, m-, p-chlorophenol, were dechlorinated by palladium/iron powder in water through catalytic reduction through a pseudo-first-order reaction.
