Journal ArticleDOI

Identification of CD8+CD25+Foxp3+ suppressive T cells in colorectal cancer tissue

TL;DR: A new regulatory T cell population (CD8+Foxp3+) in colorectal tumours is identified and demonstrated strong immunosuppressive properties in vitro, suggesting that these cells may contribute to tumoral immune escape and disease progression.
Journal ArticleDOI

GILZ expression in human dendritic cells redirects their maturation and prevents antigen-specific T lymphocyte response

TL;DR: Induction of GILZ (GC-induced leucine zipper) is involved in the inhibition of antigen-presenting dendritic cells' ability to stimulate T lymphocytes, and IL-10, GCs, and TGFbeta share this mechanism for influencing DC functions and the balance between immune response and tolerance.
Journal ArticleDOI

Highly purified primitive hematopoietic stem cells are PML-RARA negative and generate nonclonal progenitors in acute promyelocytic leukemia

TL;DR: It is suggested that the primitive hematopoietic stem cells as defined by the CD34+/CD38- antigens are not involved by the neoplastic process in APL, and may have important implications for autografting strategies of retinoic acid/chemotherapy-resistant or relapsed patients.
