Oxidation-Mediated Kinetic Strategies for Engineering Metal–Phenolic Networks
TL;DR: In this paper, a kinetic strategy was used to temporally and spatially control MPN growth by promoting self-correction of the coordinating building blocks through oxidation-mediated MPN assembly.
Journal ArticleDOI
Oligosilsesquioxanes as versatile building blocks for the preparation of self-assembled thin films
Thierry Cassagneau,Frank Caruso +1 more
TL;DR: The binding properties of NSi8 to PSS were clarified by examining the pH influence on film buildup by microelectrophoresis and quartz crystal microgravimetry and the regular growth of PSS/NSi8 multilayers on planar supports was confirmed by surface plasmon resonance (SPR) spectroscopy and QCM.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cobalt Phosphate Nanostructures for Non-Enzymatic Glucose Sensing at Physiological pH.
Pietro Pacchin Tomanin,Pavel V. Cherepanov,Quinn A Besford,Andrew J. Christofferson,Alessia Amodio,Christopher F McConville,Irene Yarovsky,Frank Caruso,Francesca Cavalieri,Francesca Cavalieri +9 more
TL;DR: The synthesis of electrocatalytically active cobalt phosphate nanostructures (CPNs) using a simple, low-cost, and scalable preparation method is reported, suggesting that enhanced detection of Glu by CPNs can be achieved by lowering the surface coordination of cobalt.
Journal ArticleDOI
Influence of Ionic Strength on the Deposition of Metal–Phenolic Networks
Junling Guo,Joseph J. Richardson,Joseph J. Richardson,Quinn A Besford,Andrew J. Christofferson,Yunlu Dai,Chien W. Ong,Blaise L. Tardy,Kang Liang,Gwan H. Choi,Jiwei Cui,Pil J. Yoo,Irene Yarovsky,Frank Caruso +13 more
TL;DR: The influence of ionic strength (0-2 M NaCl) on the conformation ofMPN precursors in solution and how this determines the final thickness and morphology of MPN films is explored.

Capsules encapsulating solid particles of signal-generating organic substances and their use in vitro bioassays for detection of target molecules in a sample
TL;DR: In this paper, capsules encapsulating solid particles of signal-generating organic substances and carrying on the outer surface affinity molecules for specific recognition of and binding to target molecules in a sample are presented.
