Accuracy of spirometric and flow-volume indices obtained by digitizing volume-time tracings
Carl R. O'Donnell,Steven L. Sneddon,Marc B. Schenker,Eric Garshick,Frank E. Speizer,Jere Mead +5 more
TL;DR: A new system for deriving standard spirometric indices, maximal expiratory flow rates, and slope ratios from volume-time tracings is tested and there was a high degree of correlation between the 2 types of flow measurements, whereas slope ratios were less well correlated.

TL;DR: In this paper, high volume fixed location samples of particles and vapor phase components were collected on filters and XAD-2 resin, respectively, to study the concentration and mutagenicity of diesel exhaust in locomotive repair shops at four railroads.

Individual and cumulative health afflictions are associated with greater impairment in physical and mental function in former professional American style football players
Adam S. Tenforde,Adam S. Tenforde,Bryan Cortez,Elaine Coughlan-Gifford,Rachel Grashow,Jillian Baker,Aaron L. Baggish,Alvaro Pascual-Leone,Lee M. Nadler,Frank E. Speizer,Herman A. Taylor,Marc G. Weisskopf,Ross Zafonte,Ross Zafonte +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the association of afflictions to physical and mental function in former American style football players and found that cumulative affliction is associated with a worse physical function.
