Troisi,Gaetano Valentini,Antonella Vallenari,Thomas Wevers +99 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present an overview of the photometric data that are part of the first Gaia data release, and the overall precision for the Gaia photometry is shown to be at the milli-magnitude level and has a clear potential to improve further in future releases.
Journal ArticleDOI
An accurate and self-consistent chemical abundance catalogue for the APOGEE/Kepler sample
Keith Hawkins,Thomas Masseron,Paula Jofre,Paula Jofre,Gerry Gilmore,Yvonne Elsworth,Saskia Hekker +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the chemical abundances of the APOGEE+Kepler stellar sample (APOKASC) with an independent procedure, line list and line selection, and high quality surface gravity information from astroseismology, were derived.
Journal ArticleDOI
ISOGAL: A deep survey of the obscured inner Milky Way with ISO at 7 and 15 micron and with DENIS in the near-infrared

Wyse,other-authors-of-the-ISOGAL-Collaboration +40 more
TL;DR: The ISOGAL project as discussed by the authors is an infrared survey of specific regions sampling the Galactic Plane selected to provide information on Galactic structure, stellar populations, stellar mass-loss and the recent star formation history of the inner disk and Bulge of the Galaxy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Photometry of Magellanic Cloud clusters with the Advanced Camera for Surveys – I. The old Large Magellanic Cloud clusters NGC 1928, 1939 and Reticulum
Alasdair Mackey,Gerry Gilmore +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the results of photometric measurements from images of the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) globular clusters NGC 1928, 1939 and Reticulum taken with the Advanced Camera for Surveys on the Hubble Space Telescope are presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
A search for new members of the beta Pic, Tuc-Hor and epsilon Cha moving groups in the RAVE database
László L. Kiss,A. Moór,Tamás Szalai,József Kovács,Daniel Bayliss,Gerry Gilmore,Olivier Bienaymé,James Binney,J. Bland-Hawthorn,Randy D. Campbell,Kenneth C. Freeman,J. P. Fulbright,Brad K.
