An updated radiocarbon-based ice margin chronology for the last deglaciation of the North American Ice Sheet Complex

April S. Dalton, +75 more
TL;DR: The most up-to-date and authoritative margin chronology for the entire ice sheet complex is featured in two publications (Geological Survey of Canada Open File 1574 [Dyke et al., 2003] and as mentioned in this paper ).
Book

The Ice Age World: An Introduction to Quaternary History and Research with Emphasis on North America and Northern Europe During the Last 2.5 Million Years

TL;DR: In this article, a review of ice age history, 2.5 million years ago to the present processes and scientific methods extended glossary index is presented, along with a discussion of scientific methods.
Journal ArticleDOI

Coupled North Atlantic slope water forcing on Gulf of Maine temperatures over the past millennium

TL;DR: In this paper, a 142-year-old living bivalve (Arctica islandica L.) and three fossil A. islandica shells (calibrated 14CAMS) were collected for stable isotope and growth increment analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Measurements of Past Ice Sheet Elevations in Interior West Antarctica

TL;DR: The glacial geologic evidence and the ice sheet model indicates that the contribution of the Ross Sea sector of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet to Holocene sea level rise was only about 3 meters, eliminating West Antarctic ice as the principle source of the large meltwater pulse during the early Holocene.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pleistocene glacial and interglacial stratigraphy of New England, Long Island, and adjacent Georges Bank and Gulf of Maine

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used 14C dates and amino acid racemization estimated (AARE) ages, borehole records and stratigraphic sections, shallow seismic profiles, and biostratigraphic analyses obtained since publication of summaries by Schafer and Hartshorn (1965), Muller (1965, and Pratt and Schlee (1969).
