TL;DR: In this paper, the results of combined NH_3 (1,1) and (2,2) line emission observed with the Very Large Array and the Effelsberg 100 m telescope of the infrared dark cloud G14225-0506 were presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Measuring mass accretion rate onto the supermassive black hole in m87 using faraday rotation measure with the submillimeter array
Cheng-Yu Kuo,Keiichi Asada,Ramprasad Rao,Masanori Nakamura,Juan-Carlos Algaba,Hauyu Baobab Liu,Makoto Inoue,Patrick M. Koch,Paul T. P. Ho,Satoki Matsushita,Hung Yi Pu,Kazunori Akiyama,Hiroaki Nishioka,Nicolas Pradel +13 more
TL;DR: The first constraint on the Faraday rotation measure (RM) at sub-millimeter wavelengths for the nucleus of M87 was presented in this article, where the authors determined the RM of the M87 core to be between −75 × 105 and 34 × 105 rad m−m−2 at a distance of 21 Schwarzschild radii from the central black hole.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Anomalously Low (Sub)Millimeter Spectral Indices of Some Protoplanetary Disks May Be Explained By Dust Self-scattering
TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that if the albedo is high and is increasing with frequency, it is possible to reproduce anomalously low spectral indices when the emission source is optically thick.
