Functional genomic landscape of acute myeloid leukaemia

Jeffrey W. Tyner, +90 more
- 17 Oct 2018 -
TL;DR: Analyses of samples from patients with acute myeloid leukaemia reveal that drug response is associated with mutational status and gene expression; the generated dataset provides a basis for future clinical and functional studies of this disease.
Journal ArticleDOI

Targeting of colony-stimulating factor 1 receptor (CSF1R) in the CLL microenvironment yields antineoplastic activity in primary patient samples.

TL;DR: Results indicate that CSF1R small-molecule inhibitors target CD14-expressing monocytes in the CLL microenvironment, thereby depriving leukemia cells of extrinsic support signals and support the concept of simultaneously targeting supportive NLCs and CLL cells.
Journal ArticleDOI

Integrative analysis of drug response and clinical outcome in acute myeloid leukemia.

TL;DR: A large functional genomic resource is expanded, avenues for mechanistic exploration and drug development, and tools for predicting outcome in AML are revealed, including a single gene, PEAR1, which is found to be among the strongest predictors of patient survival.
Journal ArticleDOI

Colony Stimulating Factor 1 Receptor (CSF1R) As a Potential Novel Therapeutic Target in CLL

TL;DR: The results show that CSF1R is a potential therapeutic target in CLL and suggest that CLL supporting monocytes (nurse-like cells) express CSf1R and depend on CSF 1R for viability in a similar manner as TAMs depend onCSF1r in a variety of solid tumor settings.
