Distinct microglial response against Alzheimer's amyloid and tau pathologies characterized by P2Y12 receptor
Jun Maeda,Takeharu Minamihisamatsu,Masafumi Shimojo,Xiaoyun Zhou,Maiko Ono,Yukio Matsuba,Bin Ji,Hideki Ishii,Masanao Ogawa,Hiroyasu Akatsu,Daita Kaneda,Yoshio Hashizume,John L. Robinson,Virginia M.-Y. Lee,Takashi Saito,Takaomi C. Saido,John Q. Trojanowski,Ming-Rong Zhang,Tetsuya Suhara,Makoto Higuchi,Naruhiko Sahara +20 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined P2Y12 receptor expression in the brains of both Alzheimer's disease and non-Alzheimer's disease tauopathy patients and tau pathology model mice (rTg4510 and PS19 mouse lines) and found that microglial levels in regions enriched with tau inclusions, despite an increase in the total microglia population.

Synthesis and preclinical evaluation of [11C]MTP38 as a novel PET ligand for phophodiesterase 7 in the brain
Naoyuki Obokata,Chie Seki,Takeshi Hirata,Jun Maeda,Hideki Ishii,Yuji Nagai,Takehiko Matsumura,Misae Takakuwa,Hajime Fukuda,Takafumi Minamimoto,Kazunori Kawamura,Ming-Rong Zhang,Tatsuo Nakajima,Takeaki Saijo,Makoto Higuchi +14 more
TL;DR: In-vivo PET after radioligand injection to rats and monkeys demonstrated that radioactivity was rapidly distributed to the brain and intensely accumulated in the striatum relative to the cerebellum, providing the first successful preclinical demonstration of in- vivo PDE7 imaging with a specific PET radiolIGand.

Synthesis and preclinical evaluation of [ 11 C]MTP38 as a novel PET ligand for phosphodiesterase 7 in the brain
Naoyuki Obokata,Chie Seki,Takeshi Hirata,Jun Maeda,Hideki Ishii,Yuji Nagai,Takehiko Matsumura,Misae Takakuwa,Hajime Fukuda,Takafumi Minamimoto,Kazunori Kawamura,Ming-Rong Zhang,Tatsuo Nakajima,Takeaki Saijo,Makoto Higuchi,Makoto Higuchi +15 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a positron emission tomography (PET) ligand for PDE7 was developed and the first successful preclinical demonstration of in vivo PET imaging with a specific PET radioligand was provided.
Journal ArticleDOI
N-(3,4-Dimethylisoxazol-5-yl)piperazine-4-[4-(2-fluoro-4-[(11)C]methylphenyl)thiazol-2-yl]-1-carboxamide: A promising positron emission tomography ligand for fatty acid amide hydrolase.

TL;DR: The present results indicate that [(11)C]1 is a promising PET ligand for imaging of FAAH in living brain.
Journal ArticleDOI
Radiosynthesis of [thiocarbonyl-11C]disulfiram and its first PET study in mice.
Hideki Ishii,Tomoteru Yamasaki,Joji Yui,Yiding Zhang,Masayuki Hanyu,Masanao Ogawa,Nobuki Nengaki,Atsushi B. Tsuji,Yuya Terashima,Kouji Matsushima,Ming-Rong Zhang +10 more
TL;DR: In vivo metabolite analysis showed the rapid decomposition of [11C]DSF in mouse plasma as well as the uptake level and distribution pattern in mice were not significantly affected by the Am value of the [ 11C] DSF sample used.
