Distinct microglial response against Alzheimer's amyloid and tau pathologies characterized by P2Y12 receptor
Jun Maeda,Takeharu Minamihisamatsu,Masafumi Shimojo,Xiaoyun Zhou,Maiko Ono,Yukio Matsuba,Bin Ji,Hideki Ishii,Masanao Ogawa,Hiroyasu Akatsu,Daita Kaneda,Yoshio Hashizume,John L. Robinson,Virginia M.-Y. Lee,Takashi Saito,Takaomi C. Saido,John Q. Trojanowski,Ming-Rong Zhang,Tetsuya Suhara,Makoto Higuchi,Naruhiko Sahara +20 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined P2Y12 receptor expression in the brains of both Alzheimer's disease and non-Alzheimer's disease tauopathy patients and tau pathology model mice (rTg4510 and PS19 mouse lines) and found that microglial levels in regions enriched with tau inclusions, despite an increase in the total microglia population.
Journal ArticleDOI
Characterization of a Conformation-Restricted Amyloid β Peptide and Immunoreactivity of Its Antibody in Human AD brain.
Yusuke Kageyama,Yumi Irie,Yuka Matsushima,Tatsuya Segawa,Jean-Pierre Bellier,Kumi Hidaka,Hiroshi Sugiyama,Daita Kaneda,Yoshio Hashizume,Hiroyasu Akatsu,Kunio Miki,Akiko Kita,Douglas G. Walker,Kazuhiro Irie,Ikuo Tooyama +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported that conformation-restricted Aβ42 with an intramolecular disulfide bond at positions 17 and 28 (SS-Aβ42) formed stable Aβ oligomers in vitro.
Journal ArticleDOI
Carbohydrate Antigen 19-9-Positive Gastric Adenocarcinoma: Autopsy Findings and Review of the Literature.
Tan Wang,Yoko Matsuda,Atsuko Seki,Keisuke Nonaka,Mototsune Kakizaki,Daita Kaneda,Junko Takahashi-Fujigasaki,Shigeo Murayama,Tomio Arai +8 more
TL;DR: An autopsy case of CA19-9-positive GC in an 84-year-old man who was admitted to the authors' hospital because of paralysis and anemia is reported, suggesting that CA19,9- positive GC is pathologically a distinctive type of tumor with aggressive biological behavior.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinicopathological characteristics of distant metastases of adenocarcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and urothelial carcinoma: An autopsy study of older Japanese patients.
Yoko Matsuda,Atsuko Seki,Keisuke Nonaka,Mototsune Kakizaki,Tan Wang,Junko Aida,Naoshi Ishikawa,Yuta Nakano,Daita Kaneda,Tadayuki Takata,Junko Takahashi-Fujigasaki,Shigeo Murayama,Kaiyo Takubo,Toshiyuki Ishiwata,Motoji Sawabe,Tomio Arai +15 more
TL;DR: The characteristics of malignancies in older adults focusing on distant metastasis in the whole body were clarified, with particular attention to lung cancer and liver disease.
Journal ArticleDOI
Simple Quantitative Indices for the Differentiation of Advanced-Stage Alzheimer's Disease and Other Limbic Tauopathies.
Keita Sakurai,Daita Kaneda,Shohei Inui,Yuto Uchida,Satoru Morimoto,Takashi Nihashi,Takashi Kato,Kengo Ito,Yoshio Hashizume +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, three quantitative indices and well-known medial temporal atrophy (MTA) score were evaluated using MRI of pathologically proven advanced-stage 21 AD, 10 AGD, and 2 SD-NFT patients.
