Journal ArticleDOI

Structural basis of the autophagy-related LC3/Atg13 LIR complex: recognition and interaction mechanism.

TL;DR: Structural and binding analyses reveal that the side-chain of Lys49 of LC3 acts as a gatekeeper to regulate binding of the LIR, suggesting that specific affinity of the LC3 isoforms to the Atg13 LIR is required for proper autophagosome formation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ultra-high resolution crystal structure of recombinant caprine β-lactoglobulin.

TL;DR: An ultra‐high resolution crystal structure of caprine βlg complemented by analytical ultracentrifugation and small‐angle X‐ray scattering data suggests a flexible quaternary arrangement of subunits within the dimer.
Journal ArticleDOI

Differential response of orthologous l,l-diaminopimelate aminotransferases (DapL) to enzyme inhibitory antibiotic lead compounds

TL;DR: It is concluded that the altered binding patterns seen in the inhibition studies may be a consequence of the inhibitors forming additional interactions with residues proximal to the active site, or that the inhibitors may not act by binding to theactive site.
