Asem Almansour,Junko Kanda Kikuchi,Makiko Taira,Makiko Taira,Jun Mitsui,Yuji Takahashi,Yaeko Ichikawa,Yaeko Ichikawa,Tatsuo Mano,Atsushi Iwata,Yasuo Harigaya,Miho Matsukawa,Takashi Matsukawa,Masaki Tanaka,Masaki Tanaka,Yuichiro Shirota,Ryo Ohtomo,Hisatomo Kowa,Hisatomo Kowa,Hidetoshi Date,Aki Mitsue,Hiroyuki Hatsuta,Satoru Morimoto,Shigeo Murayama,Yasushi Shiio,Yuko Saito,Akihiko Mitsutake,Mizuho Kawai,Takuya Sasaki,Yusuke Sugiyama,Masashi Hamada,Gaku Ohtomo,Yasuo Terao,Yasuo Terao,Yoshihiko Nakazato,Akitoshi Takeda,Yoshio Sakiyama,Yumi Umeda-Kameyama,Jun Shinmi,Katsuhisa Ogata,Yutaka Kohno,Shen-Yang Lim,Ai Huey Tan,Jun Shimizu,Jun Goto,Jun Goto,Ichizo Nishino,Tatsushi Toda,Shinichi Morishita,Shoji Tsuji,Shoji Tsuji +57 more
TL;DR: Whole-genome sequencing identifies noncoding CGG repeat expansions in neuronal intranuclear inclusion disease, oculopharyngodistal myopathy and Oculopharyngealmyopathy with leukoencephalopathy, three disorders with overlapping clinical features and neuroimaging findings.
Journal ArticleDOI
Genes associated with the progression of neurofibrillary tangles in Alzheimer's disease
Akinori Miyashita,Hiroyuki Hatsuta,Masataka Kikuchi,Akihiro Nakaya,Y Saito,Tamao Tsukie,Norikazu Hara,Soichi Ogishima,Nobutaka Kitamura,Kohei Akazawa,Akiyoshi Kakita,Haruhiko Takahashi,Shigeo Murayama,Yasuo Ihara,Takeshi Ikeuchi,Ryozo Kuwano +15 more
TL;DR: Protein–protein interaction network analysis with a public database revealed that PHYHD1 interacts with MYO5C via POT1, and PHyHD1 directly interacts with amyloid beta-peptide 42, and it is likely that functional failure of PHY HD1 and MYO 5C could lead to AD development.
Journal ArticleDOI
Age-Dependent Relationship Between Plasma Aβ40 and Aβ42 and Total Tau Levels in Cognitively Normal Subjects.
Lih-Fen Lue,Ming-Chyi Pai,Ta-Fu Chen,Chaur Jong Hu,Li Kai Huang,Wei-Che Lin,Chau-Chung Wu,Jian Shing Jeng,Kaj Blennow,Marwan N. Sabbagh,Sui Hing Yan,Pei Ning Wang,Shieh Yueh Yang,Hiroyuki Hatsuta,Satoru Morimoto,Akitoshi Takeda,Yoshiaki Itoh,Jun Liu,Haiqun Xie,Ming-Jang Chiu +19 more
TL;DR: In this multicenter study, age had weak but significant effects on the levels of Aβ42 and t-Tau in plasma, however, the age group defined by decade revealed the emergence of a relationship between Aβ40, A β42, andT Tau in the 6th and 7th decades.
Journal ArticleDOI
An autopsy case of globular glial tauopathy presenting with clinical features of motor neuron disease with dementia and iron deposition in the motor cortex
Itsuki Hasegawa,Akitoshi Takeda,Hiroyuki Hatsuta,Yuki Kubo,Masahiko Ohsawa,Yuta Nakano,Takeshi Ikeuchi,Masato Hasegawa,Shigeo Murayama,Yoshiaki Itoh +9 more
TL;DR: A case of GGT with iron deposits in a 78‐year‐old woman presenting with an 8‐year history of slowly progressing limb weakness and cognitive decline is reported, the first GGT case with iron deposition confirmed both radiologically and pathologically.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: This research presents a novel probabilistic approach to estimating the response of the immune system to laser-spot assisted, 3D image recognition.
