Gamma prime (γ′) precipitating and ageing behaviours in two newly developed nickel-base superalloys
TL;DR: In this paper, two cast nickel-base superalloys with superior creep rupture life at high temperatures and high stresses were developed and the microstructural characteristics of γ-precipitates and the hardening behavior were studied by electron microscopy and micro-hardness testing.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cost-effective and strongly integrated fabric-based wearable piezoelectric energy harvester
Jaegyu Kim,Seoungwoo Byun,Sangryun Lee,Jeongjae Ryu,Seongwoo Cho,Chungik Oh,Hongjun Kim,Kwangsoo No,Seunghwa Ryu,Yong Min Lee,Seungbum Hong +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a fabric-based wearable piezoelectric energy harvester (fabric-WPEH) is demonstrated, which has a heterostructure of a ferroelectric polymer, poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-trifluoroethylene) and two conductive fabrics via simple fabrication of tape casting and hot pressing.
Journal ArticleDOI
Reducing Time to Discovery: Materials and Molecular Modeling, Imaging, Informatics, and Integration.
Seungbum Hong,Chi Hao Liow,Jong Min Yuk,Hye Ryung Byon,Yongsoo Yang,EunAe Cho,Jiwon Yeom,Gun Park,Hyeonmuk Kang,Seunggu Kim,Yoon Su Shim,Moony Na,Chaehwa Jeong,Gyuseong Hwang,Hongjun Kim,Hoon Kim,Seongmun Eom,Seongwoo Cho,Hosun Jun,Yongju Lee,Arthur Baucour,Kihoon Bang,Myungjoon Kim,Seokjung Yun,Jeongjae Ryu,Youngjoon Han,Albina Jetybayeva,Pyuck-Pa Choi,Joshua C. Agar,Sergei V. Kalinin,Peter W. Voorhees,Peter B. Littlewood,Hyuck Mo Lee +32 more
TL;DR: The M3I3 initiative aims to reduce the time for the discovery, design and development of materials based on elucidating multiscale processing-structure-property relationship and materials hierarchy, which are to be quantified and understood through a combination of machine learning and scientific insights as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of NH4F and distilled water on structure of pores in TiO2 nanotube arrays.
Jaegyu Kim,Bongsoo Kim,Chungik Oh,Jeongjae Ryu,Hongjun Kim,Eugene Park,Kwangsoo No,Seungbum Hong +7 more
TL;DR: It is found that locally connected ordering defects decreased with increasing distilled water concentration and the optimum conditions of well-ordered hexagonal pore arrangement were 2 and 10 vol% distilled water with 0.2 and 0.4 wt% NH4F, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI
Sintering behaviour of lithium ferrites containing Nb2O5 and V2O5
Hongjun Kim,H. B. Im +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, LiNbO3 or LiVO3, which is formed by NbO5 or V2O5, causes an increase in oxygen activity of the lithium ferrite and a decrease in the rate of lithium evaporation during sintering.
