TL;DR: In this paper, the authors report on the AeroCom Phase II direct aerosol effect (DAE) experiment where 16 detailed global aerosol models have been used to simulate the changes in the aerosol distribution over the industrial era.

TL;DR: A comprehensive review of studies on Asian aerosols, monsoons, and their interactions is provided in this article, where a new paradigm is proposed on investigating aerosol-monsoon interactions, in which natural aerosols such as desert dust, black carbon from biomass burning, and biogenic aerosols from vegetation are considered integral components of an intrinsic aerosolmonsoon climate system, subject to external forcing of global warming, anthropogenic aerosol, and land use and change.
Journal ArticleDOI
Heterogeneous degradation of organic pollutants by persulfate activated by CuO-Fe3O4: Mechanism, stability, and effects of pH and bicarbonate ions
TL;DR: The results indicated that an increase of solution pH and the presence of bicarbonate ions were beneficial for the removal of phenol in the CuO-Fe3O4 coupled with persulfate (PS) process and may provide some new insights for contaminant removal from wastewater.
Journal ArticleDOI
The mechanism of degradation of bisphenol A using the magnetically separable CuFe2O4/peroxymonosulfate heterogeneous oxidation process.
TL;DR: Surface-bound, rather than free radicals generated by a surface catalyzed-redox cycle involving both Fe(III) and Cu(II), are postulated to be responsible for the mineralization of bisphenol A.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ultrasound enhanced heterogeneous activation of peroxymonosulfate by a bimetallic Fe-Co/SBA-15 catalyst for the degradation of Orange II in water.
TL;DR: The results indicated that the removal rate of Orange II was not significantly affected by the initial pH, and it increased with the higher PMS concentration, reaction temperature, Fe-Co/SBA-15 dosage and ultrasonic power, and a plausible degradation pathway is proposed.
