Post-Conditioning Reduces Infarct Size and Edema in Patients With ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction
Franck Thuny,Olivier Lairez,François Roubille,François Roubille,Nathan Mewton,Gilles Rioufol,Catherine Sportouch,Catherine Sportouch,Ingrid Sanchez,Cyrille Bergerot,Hélène Thibault,Hélène Thibault,Thien Tri Cung,Thien Tri Cung,Gérard Finet,Laurent Argaud,Didier Revel,Geneviève Derumeaux,Eric Bonnefoy-Cudraz,Meier Elbaz,Christophe Piot,Christophe Piot,Michel Ovize,Pierre Croisille,Pierre Croisille +24 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that post-conditioning reduced infarct size and edema in patients with reperfused STEMI, and this protective effect was confirmed after adjustment for the size of the area at risk.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of cyclosporine on left ventricular remodeling after reperfused myocardial infarction.
Nathan Mewton,Pierre Croisille,Gérald Gahide,Gilles Rioufol,Eric Bonnefoy,Ingrid Sanchez,Thien Tri Cung,Catherine Sportouch,Denis Angoulvant,Gérard Finet,Xavier André-Fouët,Geneviève Derumeaux,Christophe Piot,Hélène Vernhet,Didier Revel,Michel Ovize,Michel Ovize +16 more
TL;DR: Cyclosporine used at the moment of acute myocardial infarction reperfusion persistently reduces infarct size and does not have a detrimental effect on LV remodeling.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluation framework for carotid bifurcation lumen segmentation and stenosis grading.
K. Hameeteman,Maria A. Zuluaga,Maria A. Zuluaga,Moti Freiman,Leo Joskowicz,Olivier Cuisenaire,L. Florez Valencia,Mehmet Akif Gulsun,Karl Krissian,Julien Mille,Wilbur C.K. Wong,Maciej Orkisz,Huseyin Tek,M. Hernández Hoyos,Fethallah Benmansour,Albert C. S. Chung,S. Rozie,M. P M Q van Gils,L. van den Borne,Jacob Sosna,P. Berman,Noy Cohen,Philippe Douek,Ingrid Sanchez,M. Aissat,Michiel Schaap,Coert Metz,Gabriel P. Krestin,A. van der Lugt,Wiro J. Niessen,Wiro J. Niessen,T. van Walsum +31 more
TL;DR: An evaluation framework that allows a standardized and objective quantitative comparison of carotid artery lumen segmentation and stenosis grading algorithms is described and shows that automated segmentation of the vessel lumen is possible with a precision that is comparable to manual annotation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inhibition of mitochondrial permeability transition pore opening: translation to patients.
Ludovic Gomez,Bo Li,Nathan Mewton,Ingrid Sanchez,Christophe Piot,Christophe Piot,Meier Elbaz,Michel Ovize,Michel Ovize +8 more
TL;DR: Proof-of-concept clinical trials support the idea that lethal myocardial reperfusion injury is also of significant importance in patients with ongoing AMI, and that targeting mitochondrial permeability transition by either percutaneous coronary intervention postconditioning or CsA can reduce infarct size and improve the recovery of contractile function after reperfusions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Postconditioning attenuates no-reflow in STEMI patients
Nathan Mewton,Hélène Thibault,François Roubille,François Roubille,Olivier Lairez,Gilles Rioufol,Catherine Sportouch,Catherine Sportouch,Ingrid Sanchez,Cyrille Bergerot,Thien Tri Cung,Thien Tri Cung,Gérard Finet,Denis Angoulvant,Didier Revel,Eric Bonnefoy-Cudraz,Meyer Elbaz,Christophe Piot,Christophe Piot,Inesse Sahraoui,Pierre Croisille,Michel Ovize +21 more
TL;DR: Mechanical postconditioning significantly reduces MVO in patients with acute STEMI treated with primary angioplasty, andAttenuation of MVO was associated to infarct size reduction.
