Journal ArticleDOI
A common classification framework for neuroendocrine neoplasms: an International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) and World Health Organization (WHO) expert consensus proposal.
Guido Rindi,David S. Klimstra,Behnoush Abedi-Ardekani,Sylvia L. Asa,Frederik T. Bosman,Elisabeth Brambilla,Klaus J. Busam,Ronald R. de Krijger,Manfred Dietel,Adel K. El-Naggar,Lynnette Fernandez-Cuesta,Günter Klöppel,W. Glenn McCluggage,Holger Moch,Hiroko Ohgaki,Emad A. Rakha,Nicholas S. Reed,Brian Rous,Hironobu Sasano,Aldo Scarpa,Jean-Yves Scoazec,William D. Travis,Giovanni Tallini,Jacqueline Trouillas,J. Han van Krieken,Ian A. Cree +25 more
TL;DR: This work believes this conceptual approach can form the basis for the next generation of NEN classifications and will allow more consistent taxonomy to understand how neoplasms from different organ systems inter-relate clinically and genetically.
Journal ArticleDOI
Different functions for the thyroid hormone receptors TRα and TRβ in the control of thyroid hormone production and post‐natal development
Karine Gauthier,Olivier Chassande,Michela Plateroti,Jean-Paul Roux,Claude Legrand,Bertrand Pain,Bernard Rousset,Roy E. Weiss,Jacqueline Trouillas,Jacques Samarut +9 more
TL;DR: It is shown by this method that the TRβ receptors are the most potent regulators of the production of thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), and that redundancy is only partial and concerns a limited number of functions.
Journal ArticleDOI
A new prognostic clinicopathological classification of pituitary adenomas: a multicentric case–control study of 410 patients with 8 years post-operative follow-up
Jacqueline Trouillas,Jacqueline Trouillas,Pascal Roy,Nathalie Sturm,Emmanuelle Dantony,Christine Cortet-Rudelli,Gabriel Viennet,Jean-François Bonneville,Richard Assaker,Carole Auger,Carole Auger,Thierry Brue,Aurélie Cornelius,Henry Dufour,Emmanuel Jouanneau,Patrick François,Françoise Galland,François Mougel,François Chapuis,Laurent Villeneuve,Claude-Alain Maurage,Dominique Figarella-Branger,Gérald Raverot +22 more
TL;DR: A new, easy to use clinicopathological classification of pituitary endocrine tumours has demonstrated its prognostic worth by strongly predicting the probability of post-operative complete remission or tumour progression and so could help clinicians choose the best post-operation therapy.
Journal ArticleDOI
European Society of Endocrinology clinical practice guidelines for the management of aggressive pituitary tumours and carcinomas
Gérald Raverot,Pia Burman,Ann McCormack,Anthony P. Heaney,Stephan Petersenn,Vera Popovic,Jacqueline Trouillas,Olaf M. Dekkers +7 more
TL;DR: The guideline offers recommendations for patients who recurred after temozolomide treatment, for those who did not respond to temozoomide and for patients with systemic metastasis, which focused primarily on first- and second-line treatment in aggressive pituitary tumours and carcinomas.
Journal ArticleDOI
The T3Rα gene encoding a thyroid hormone receptor is essential for post‐natal development and thyroid hormone production
A. Fraichard,Olivier Chassande,Michelina Plateroti,Jean-Paul Roux,Jacqueline Trouillas,Colette Dehay,Claude Legrand,Karine Gauthier,Michèle Kedinger,Luc Malaval,Bernard Rousset,Jacques Samarut +11 more
TL;DR: The abnormal phenotypes observed on the homozygous mutant mice strongly suggest that the T3Rα gene is essential for the transformation of a mother‐dependent pup to an ‘adult’ mouse.
