A Map of the Interactome Network of the Metazoan C. elegans
Siming Li,Christopher M. Armstrong,Nicolas Bertin,Hui Ge,Stuart Milstein,Mike Boxem,Pierre-Olivier Vidalain,Jing-Dong J. Han,Alban Chesneau,Tong Hao,Debra S. Goldberg,Ning Li,Monica Martinez,Jean François Rual,Philippe Lamesch,Lai Xu,Lai Xu,Muneesh Tewari,Sharyl L. Wong,Lan V. Zhang,Gabriel F. Berriz,Laurent Jacotot,Philippe Vaglio,Jérôme Reboul,Tomoko Hirozane-Kishikawa,Qian-Ru Li,Harrison W. Gabel,Ahmed Elewa,Ahmed Elewa,Bridget L. Baumgartner,Debra J. Rose,Haiyuan Yu,Stephanie Bosak,Reynaldo Sequerra,Andrew G. Fraser,Susan E. Mango,William M. Saxton,Susan Strome,Sander van den Heuvel,Fabio Piano,Jean Vandenhaute,Claude Sardet,Mark Gerstein,Lynn Doucette-Stamm,Kristin C. Gunsalus,J. Wade Harper,J. Wade Harper,Michael E. Cusick,Frederick P. Roth,David E. Hill,Marc Vidal +50 more
TL;DR: A large fraction of the Caenorhabditis elegans interactome network is mapped, starting with a subset of metazoan-specific proteins, and more than 4000 interactions were identified from high-throughput, yeast two-hybrid screens.
Journal ArticleDOI
Identification of Potential Interaction Networks Using Sequence-Based Searches for Conserved Protein-Protein Interactions or “Interologs”
Lisa Matthews,Philippe Vaglio,Jérôme Reboul,Hui Ge,Brian P. Davis,James I. Garrels,Sylvie Vincent,Marc Vidal +7 more
TL;DR: The extent to which a protein interaction map generated in one species can be used to predict interactions in another species is investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
BTB proteins are substrate-specific adaptors in an SCF-like modular ubiquitin ligase containing CUL-3
Lai Xu,Yue Wei,Jérôme Reboul,Philippe Vaglio,Tae Ho Shin,Marc Vidal,Stephen J. Elledge,Stephen J. Elledge,J. Wade Harper,J. Wade Harper +9 more
TL;DR: Biochemical studies using the BTB protein MEL-26 and its genetic target MEI-1 indicate that BTB proteins merge the functional properties of Skp1 and F-box proteins into a single polypeptide.
Journal ArticleDOI
TLR-independent control of innate immunity in Caenorhabditis elegans by the TIR domain adaptor protein TIR-1, an ortholog of human SARM.
Carole Couillault,Nathalie Pujol,Jérôme Reboul,Laurence Sabatier,Jean-François Guichou,Yuji Kohara,Jonathan J. Ewbank +6 more
TL;DR: It is shown that the small GTPase Rab1 and the f subunit of ATP synthase participate specifically in the control of antimicrobial peptide gene expression, and TIR-1 may represent a component of a previously uncharacterized, but conserved, innate immune signaling pathway.
Journal ArticleDOI
C. elegans ORFeome version 1.1: experimental verification of the genome annotation and resource for proteome-scale protein expression.
Jérôme Reboul,Philippe Vaglio,Jean François Rual,Jean François Rual,Philippe Lamesch,Philippe Lamesch,Monica Martinez,Christopher M. Armstrong,Siming Li,Laurent Jacotot,Nicolas Bertin,Rekin's Janky,Troy Moore,James R. Hudson,James L. Hartley,James L. Hartley,Michael A. Brasch,Jean Vandenhaute,Simon J. Boulton,Simon J. Boulton,Gregory A. Endress,Sarah Jenna,Eric Chevet,Vasilis Papasotiropoulos,Peter Tolias,Jason Ptacek,Michael Snyder,Raymond Y. Huang,Mark R. Chance,Hongmei Lee,Lynn Doucette-Stamm,David E. Hill,Marc Vidal +32 more
TL;DR: Gateway-clone all predicted protein-encoding open reading frames (ORFs), or the 'ORFeome,' of Caenorhabditis elegans successfully, and it is suggested that similar ORFeome projects will be valuable for other organisms, including humans.
