Journal ArticleDOI
Reactive nitrogen species as therapeutic targets for autophagy: implication for ischemic stroke.
TL;DR: Targeting RNS and related cellular signaling pathways in the regulation of autophagy/mitophagy might be a promising strategy for developing novel drugs as well as combined therapy for thrombolytic treatment to reach better outcomes for ischemic stroke.
Journal ArticleDOI
Different mechanisms of cis-9,trans-11- and trans-10,cis-12- conjugated linoleic acid affecting lipid metabolism in 3T3-L1 cells.
Jiajie Zhai,Zhao-liang Liu,Jie-mei Li,Jianping Chen,Lin Jiang,Dongmei Wang,Jin Yuan,Jiangang Shen,Depo Yang,Jia-qi Chen +9 more
TL;DR: High-dose, long treatment of cis-9,trans-11 CLA did not promote apoptosis, fatty acid oxidation and lipolysis in adipocytes, but may induce an increase in energy expenditure.
Journal ArticleDOI
Use of 3‐acetoxymethoxycarbonyl‐2,2,5,5‐tetramethyl‐1‐pyrrolidinyloxyl as an EPR oximetry probe: Potential for in vivo measurement of tissue oxygenation in mouse brain
Jiangang Shen,Jiangang Shen,Shimin Liu,Minoru Miyake,Wenlan Liu,Aaron Pritchard,Joseph P. Y. Kao,Joseph P. Y. Kao,Gerald M. Rosen,Gerald M. Rosen,Yao Tong,Ke Jian Liu +11 more
TL;DR: Low‐frequency electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy with a paramagnetic probe with two nitroxides is examined to indicate that nitroxide could be useful for mapping O2 distribution in the brain following stroke.
Journal ArticleDOI
Potential molecular targets of peroxynitrite in mediating blood-brain barrier damage and haemorrhagic transformation in acute ischaemic stroke with delayed tissue plasminogen activator treatment
TL;DR: The values of natural compounds with the properties of scavenging ONOO− are discussed as adjunctive therapies to extend the therapeutic window of t-PA and attenuate haemorrhage transformation in ischaemic stroke.
Journal ArticleDOI
Meta-analysis of scalp acupuncture for acute hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage
TL;DR: It was found that patients with acute hypertensive ICH who received SA therapy had significantly improved neurological deficit scores and no evidence is available on whether SA therapy can be used to treat acute ICH according to the primary outcome measure.
