Nitric oxide and oxygen radicals induced apoptosis via bcl-2 and p53 pathway in hypoxia-reoxygenated cardiomyocytes.
TL;DR: No may be an initiative signal to apoptotic cell death and the activation of bcl-2, p53 and p21/waf1/cip1 pathway in hypoxic and hypoxia-reoxygenated cardiomyocytes is clarified.

Diarylamine-based fluorogenic probes for detection of peroxynitrite
TL;DR: In this article, improved fluorogenic compounds and probes that can be used as reagents for measuring, detecting and/or screening peroxynitrite are presented, such as green, yellow, red, or far red.
Journal ArticleDOI
A predictive model of Vibrio cholerae for combined temperature and organic nutrient in aquatic environments.
TL;DR: To develop a predictive model for Vibrio cholerae in sea water, a large number of experiments have shown positive results in findingviruses that pose a threat to human health and marine life.
Journal ArticleDOI
Astragali Radix Isoflavones Synergistically Alleviate Cerebral Ischemia and Reperfusion Injury Via Activating Estrogen Receptor-PI3K-Akt Signaling Pathway.
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the synergistic neuroprotective effects of those isoflavones of Astragali Radix against cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury.
Journal ArticleDOI
Kinesin-1 Regulates Extrasynaptic Targeting of NMDARs and Neuronal Vulnerability Toward Excitotoxicity

TL;DR: It is reported that the reduction of Kif5b, the heavy chain of kinesin-1, protected neurons against NMDA-induced excitotoxicity and ischemia-provoked neurodegeneration and revealed that kines in-1 regulates extrasynaptic NMDAR targeting and signaling, and the reduction could be exploited to defer neurodegenersation.
