Journal ArticleDOI
A facile strategy for realizing room temperature phosphorescence and single molecule white light emission
Jianguo Wang,Xinggui Gu,Xinggui Gu,Huili Ma,Qian Peng,Xiaobo Huang,Xiaoyan Zheng,Simon H. P. Sung,Guo-Gang Shan,Jacky Wing Yip Lam,Zhigang Shuai,Ben Zhong Tang,Ben Zhong Tang +12 more
TL;DR: A facile strategy of heavy-atom-participated anion–π+ interactions is proposed to construct RTP-active organic salt compounds (1,2,3,4-tetraphenyloxazoliums with different counterions) by exchanging the counterion with a heavy halide ion.
Journal ArticleDOI
Multiscale Humidity Visualization by Environmentally Sensitive Fluorescent Molecular Rotors.
Yanhua Cheng,Jianguo Wang,Zijie Qiu,Xiaoyan Zheng,Nelson L. C. Leung,Jacky W. Y. Lam,Ben Zhong Tang,Ben Zhong Tang +7 more
TL;DR: A visual sensing approach based on fluorescent imaging is presented, by assembling aggregation-induced-emission (AIE)-active molecular rotors into a moisture-captured network; the resulting AIE humidity sensors are compatible with diverse applications, having tunable geometries and desirable architectures.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ionization and Anion-π+ Interaction: A New Strategy for Structural Design of Aggregation-Induced Emission Luminogens
Jianguo Wang,Xinggui Gu,Pengfei Zhang,Xiaobo Huang,Xiaoyan Zheng,Ming Chen,Hai-Tao Feng,Ryan T. K. Kwok,Jacky Wing Yip Lam,Ben Zhong Tang,Ben Zhong Tang +10 more
TL;DR: A new strategy that utilized anion-π+ interactions to block detrimental π-π stacking was first proposed to develop inherent-charged AIE systems, and TriPO-PN was biocompatible and could specifically target lysosome in fluorescence turn-on and wash-free manners, suggesting that it was a promising contrast agent for bioimaging.
Journal ArticleDOI
Corannulene-Incorporated AIE Nanodots with Highly Suppressed Nonradiative Decay for Boosted Cancer Phototheranostics In Vivo.
Xinggui Gu,Xinggui Gu,Xiaoyan Zhang,Huili Ma,Shaorui Jia,Pengfei Zhang,Yanjun Zhao,Qian Liu,Jianguo Wang,Xiaoyan Zheng,Jacky Wing Yip Lam,Dan Ding,Ben Zhong Tang,Ben Zhong Tang +13 more
TL;DR: It is reported that enhancing the intraparticle confined microenvironment is an effective approach to advanced AIE dots, permitting boosted cancer phototheranostics in vivo, and brings new insights into the design of superior fluorescent NPs for biomedical applications.
Journal ArticleDOI
Time‐Dependent Photodynamic Therapy for Multiple Targets: A Highly Efficient AIE‐Active Photosensitizer for Selective Bacterial Elimination and Cancer Cell Ablation
Qiyao Li,Ying Li,Tianliang Min,Junyi Gong,Lili Du,David Lee Phillips,Junkai Liu,Jacky W. Y. Lam,Herman H. Y. Sung,Ian D. Williams,Ryan T. K. Kwok,Chun Loong Ho,Kai Li,Jianguo Wang,Ben Zhong Tang,Ben Zhong Tang +15 more
TL;DR: This is the first reported time-dependent fluorescence-guided photodynamic therapy in one individual PS for ordered and multiple targeting by varying the external conditions, which can update the design principle of efficient PSs in potential clinical applications.
